About the Author

Raised on John Wayne, Roy Rogers, and The Lone Ranger, Janis Reams Hudson is a child of the West. She was born in California, grew up in Colorado, lived in Texas, and has called Central Oklahoma home for most of her adult life. Westerns, for her, are a given. After leaving a successful career in broadcast television, Janis decided to do something about all those stories whirling around in her head. She focused her full attention on writing. This took some sacrifice. She chose to give up cooking and cleaning. Her first book was published in 1991, and she hasn’t looked back since.

Wow! I read this from cover to cover and wanted to keep reading. I enjoyed this love story betwen Jessie and Blake. This reminded me of the movie McLintock when it came to stubbornness on both sides. This story was just full of adventure from imprisonment, to Jessie's defense of Blake, to marriage, to finally, the very needed happy ending with them having a child. Read this book! You'll love it!
