Applause, and then Silence

Philosophical essays on topics such as writing skills, title, motto, and dedication are delightfully thought-provoking and quotable. They are meant to test our vanities, and extend our understanding of social signs and meanings. A crisp and easy going style doesn't take away from the brilliance of this author's writing.

Moris Farhi in his introduction to the book said: ‘For Finci is of the breed of liberators. And in these ruminations he meditates on questions that pertain to writers, to the act of writing and to drama, his erstwhile pursuit that schooled him in his native Sarajevo before savagery engulfed Bosnia and forced him into exile. Probing an intriguing spectrum on these themes, he explores their causation and metaphysical aspects.‘
