Letter to Mia Three years ago, I received an e-reader as a present. Since then, I have devoured hundreds of books. Thank God for my e-reader; I would probably would have never come across Mia's books without it. I have loved all of Mia's books, but I do not believe my words could ever express how I feel after reading Archer's Voice. It has to be the best book I have ever read. I have never used drugs or been high, but I can imagine being high must feel how I feel after reading this book. It's been several hours since reading Archer's Voice and I am still in constant dreamy state, a feeling of warmth all over my body. I'm still thinking about the story and am smiling like a fool. I want to say thank you, Mia. Thank you for writing such an original, amazing, beautiful and inspiring story. To everyone who has not read this book yet: Do so Immediately! If it's in your TBR list, bump it up now! Don't hesitate one more second. You won't regret it. P.S. Who would have thought that a haircut could be so intimate, sweet, and sexy? LOVED THIS BOOK!

I have to admit that this book first caught my eye because of the cover. Holy hotness! I never thought a guy's back could be so sexy. The next thing to lured me to read it was the author. I loved "Leo" so much, and had a feeling her other works would be just as good. Archer's Voice didn't disappoint! I was wondering how the chemistry would come across the page with a mute character, but it was endearing, thoughtful, steamy, and sexy. I lost my breath at the end of chapter 34 and beginning of chapter 35. Without giving anything away, I read the first few sentences of chapter 35 and turned off my NOOK and walked away. I couldn't bear to read it. I started ranting and raving, and my husband was like, "what is wrong with you?" Of course, I wasn't disappointed once I finished the book. Ahhhh-mazing! It's come to the point now that I think I will read anything by this author. The characters are well-developed. The storylines believable. And there's enough steam and chemistry to satisfy my secret love of smut! Read this book! You won't be sorry.

I echo the general sentiment: this story is beautiful. This author writes superbly and manages to develop amazing characters who overcome their painful pasts while maintaining their humanity and hope. I often find myself skimming through boring, repetitive narrative in many romance books, but in this one the prose is sublime, and merges flowlessly with the dialogs. The hot sex scenes blend seamlessly with the storyline and add to the story, rather than feeling like add-ons. Cannot recommend it enough.

I have loved all of this authors books. However, this book takes my breath away. She always makes you feel like you are "physically" watching the story unfold. Loved loved loved this book!!!!! Such a fantastic read!

I have never read a book that made me instantly re-read it after I finished it. What a great love story. I am in love with the Archer and the way that he and Bree overcame so many obstacles that they were faced with. I will recommend this book to everyone I know. Mia Sheridan is a genius!!!

Should be made into a movie! Once again Mia Sheridan creates characters that are believable , strong and lovable. There were several times as I read, tears filled my eyes. Archer is my new favorite leading man!

Ok i never ever write reviews and this is my first book from this author. To be honest the book kept popping up on blogs and when it was .99 i said I'll give it a try. The summary didnt really interest me and my opinion whomever wrote the summary did this book a great injustice. It was so well written that I'll be swooning over Archer for days to come. I dont want to give a thing cause i truly believe its a MUST READ...

OMG!!!!!! This is one of the most beautiful story I have ever read, in all the 300 plus books I have read over the past year and a half, this is in my top five.  Absolutely beautiful... it choked me up with so much emotion.  When you read this story, it sorta takes you away from your world into theirs.  I couldn't focus on anything but their story until you read the very last drop of theirs.  So, So, So recommend this book.  And here I thought Leo was an amazing story, you  have to read this one!!!!

This book needs to go on everyone's MUST READ list!! It is a beautiful story of love, but much more than that, definitely not your typical romance. It is the story of two people, damaged by events in their past, one simply looking for peace and the other seemingly satisfied with things the way they are. Bree Prescott, has suffered a terrible loss, leaving her devastated, alone, and suffering from flashbacks. She moves or runs away to Pelion, Maine. In this small, friendly town, she meets Archer Hale, a lonely, misunderstood man. A silent man who has been dealt a ugly hand in life, but has survived, although he has done it alone. The friendly people in this town, never tried to get close to him, or even talk to him, and Archer liked it just fine that way, until Bree. As I followed the story of Bree and Archer, I realized just how hard his life must have been, but yet he was not bitter. He was strong and smart, and in some ways still a little boy. This review was hard to write, because I do not want to give away too much, but I do want to stress what a great book it was, taking my emotions on a roller coaster ride, and at the same time not being able to put it down. One chapter towards the end, made me want to scream, and I laid down my Kindle, thinking that could not have just happened, after a few minutes I went back and finished the chapter. Cannot say anymore, please just READ THE BOOK, it is GREAT!!

Sheridan has a way of reaching into the deepest parts of people, finding the good but also the fears and the flawed things in us all. She manages to turn them into beautifully heartwarming, heartbreaking and sexy characters/stories that flow flawlessly.

Torn between a 4.5 and a 5. I'd wanted to read this because there was a page for it in the romance coloring book I have. I finally decided to use one of my Audible credits on it. It started really good, then there was a boring patch at the beginning where I wondered what would be happening, but then it picked up again. It was a roller coaster of a ride, and I really enjoyed it. It was almost a 5 star read, but there was just something that kept it from being that for me. It had some good twists, ones that I thought I knew what was coming, but then it wasn't what I expected. A good read!

I've had this book on my bookshelf for almost two years and kept putting it off. I'm so HAPPY I finally gave it a shot. This is what a romance story is supposed to be! Archer was such a deep, wonderfully written character that truly tugged at all of my heart strings. I usually live for the arrogant, alpha male but Mia Sheridan infuses Archer with such humble, unassuming and beautiful imperfect traits that I couldn't help but to love him. I discovered a genuinely good man can be hot and sexy too! I also loved Bree. Although dealing with her own troubles she never allowed her past to make her a jaded human being. I admired her view of the world and her willingness to put herself out there for others, especially for Archer. I don't have enough words to describe the joy I felt and the tears I cried through Archer's journey while reading this. I highly recommend this book!

Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan (Audiobook) Narrated by: Kris Koscheski & Emily Durante 5 Stars - This book was recommended to me by a friend and I am glad I read it. I loved the premise of a nonverbal person finding his perfect match. I was looking forward to lots of body language and possibly a different take on getting to know each other as this was the first book I have ever read with a lead character who doesn't speak. It didn't disappoint. From the first meeting you can feel a spark of chemistry between Archer and Bree and it just grew from there. Their courtship was fun, heartfelt and passionate. I enjoyed watching them fall in love. After about halfway in, I did feel that they were a lot like randy rabbits…(having sex all the time) however it wasn't drawn out and detailed each time, which was good as it didn't detract too much from the story. The writing and narration both were done well and overall I really enjoyed it. ~ Paragraphs and Petticoats ~

4 stars — My Mom and I listened to this audiobook during a roadtrip this past weekend (while my husband listened to podcasts with his earbuds in… ), and while we both thoroughly enjoyed the book, we both agreed that the narrators weren’t our favourite. I can only speak for myself in this review, but we at least both agreed on that point. I think audio narration tastes can vary from person to person, so not everyone will feel this way, but Ms. Durante and Mr. Koscheski were not my favourites. They both felt a little bland in my opinion, there wasn’t enough emotion or personality in their delivery. I can’t help but wonder if I would have liked the book even more if I’d read it instead of listened to it. I can honestly say that listening to the MULTIPLE LONG sex scenes in this book became tedious and boring, and I just wanted to get back to the plot. That doesn’t often happen for me in romances, but it was one of my major issues in this one. So I would definitely rate the narration at maybe only a 3 or 3.5 stars. Bree was almost too sweet. But I also enjoyed the genuine goodness in her. You could tell she truly cared for Archer and wanted to make a connection with him. She was ridiculously optimistic (and thus naive) when it came to Travis. I loved that she was persistent and didn’t give up on Archer at the beginning. I got tired of her constantly going on and on about Archer’s physical appearance perfection…that’s just not as interesting to me as his inner beauty. Her struggles with her past were heartbreaking too, and I felt for what she was going through. After awhile I felt like her story got passed over for Archer’s, but I didn’t feel too cheated…I thought she got the resolution she needed. Archer’s story was kind of fascinating. I loved that through Bree we empathized with his story, but didn’t feel sorry for him. His story truly broke my heart. I’ve seen him on countless book boyfriend lists, and I truly understand why. The funny thing is he would go off the deep end and react a bit over the top, and in any other hero it would have been a turn off, but I totally understood why Archer behaved that way given how he grew up, and how little he understood social interactions. He was sweet, kind, his shyness was adorable, and his eagerness and genuineness in his love and lust for Bree was a total turn on. Their romance had lots of great butterfly moments, moments that made me smile soooo wide. But as I alluded to up there, I got tired of the sexy times. Their initial sexy times were super steamy and enjoyable…but after awhile I was like “enough already, we get it.” There wasn’t enough variety to have so many scenes. I loved all the people Bree came to know and love in the new town (Anne, Maggie, Norm, Melanie, Liza). I was even pleasantly surprised with some of the secondary characters who did better than I expected — Jordan, even Travis eventually. As for the plot, I predicted a lot of what was going to happen, but I didn’t mind that necessarily…I was there mostly for character development. There were a few plot points that annoyed me though. For example, I started really getting annoyed with how often people would try to talk Bree out of her love for Archer, especially her friends. So yeah…I really did thoroughly enjoy so much of this book, but I do believe this is one book that I would have enjoyed reading on my own instead of listening to it.

I have read and reread this book several times over the past few years and each time I read it, all I can say is...beautiful. I am always speechless. It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful story that I have ever read. It's a story that touches your heart so profoundly and stays with you long after you finish reading it. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

It wasn't as fast paced as I would like but not so much that I quit reading. I never thought I would like a story where the male is not an alpha-hole (as Lani Lynn Vale would say) but his character was so well thought out and human, I fell in love. Bree's PTSD was a little unrealistic (how quickly it vanished without help of any kind) but sometimes that's necessary in a story. Definitely hard to put down at 3:00am... I loved it.
