Overview

Arrogant Bastard by Zara Cox

"An exotically filthy, devastatingly beautiful story that will captivate and tease you long after the book is finished." -Audrey Carlan, New York Times bestselling author on Beautiful Liar
I'm known as the Black Widow because the desires I hide inside are pure poison.
I was a different person once. Faith, a young wife, hoping to become a mother. My life was pleasant. Stable. It was hell. Until Killian Knight opened my eyes to a world of espionage and intrigue. He saw something in me, something I was too afraid to acknowledge. I didn't want to be excited by the danger. Didn't want to crave the wicked passion only he could provide. But I did want, so now I run. And I pay.

I never meant to corrupt her, but I'm not sorry.
After all, I'm already damned.
After four years of searching and longing, I've finally found her. Faith, the one person in the world I breathe for. She lives beneath my skin as surely as I wear proof of our transgressions inked on my body. And like the forbidden fruit that doomed us from the beginning, our end is inevitable. We lived with no regret. We loved without inhibition. We betrayed those closest to us. We killed for that love. Now...we will burn in hell together.

Hot. Sexy. Down Right Thrilling. This is my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last. Told from dual points of view, Arrogant Bastard follows the story of Faith and Killian. From the moment I picked up this book, I was intrigued. This story starts off with a bang and never stops going. I wasn’t really sure where this story was going in the beginning, but I was utterly intrigued and had to keep reading. Arrogant Bastard was a quick read for me. I couldn’t help but blow through the pages. The characters and their story were captivating and had me burning the pages as quick as possible. This story was beyond sexy with danger and intrigue around every corner. The characters and their chemistry are beyond addictive and will leave you begging for more. Overall, a really enjoyable read and one that I’m glad I decided to pick up. I look forward to checking out more from this author in the future.

4.5 STARS I can't get enough of Zara Cox's addictive blend of darkness, danger and sinfully erotic passion. As if that wasn't enough, she spears you through the heart with raw emotion. Beautifully written, infused with angst, Arrogant Bastard held me tight in it's clutches from start to finish. Arrogant Bastard takes you on a journey through the dark recesses of the world of espionage and human trafficking. It had my mind racing with questions and my heart pounding from the intensity. Killian is about as alpha control-freak as they come. Overbearing, dirty talking and commanding. As much fun as that is, I need more than that. I was so happy to discover beneath his hard exterior, he loves Faith with a pure and desperate kind of passion. These two have a messy and complicated past tangled in secrets, lies and pain. What a journey to watch it all unravel! Although the ending was a little rushed, for me it just affirmed Faith and Killian's unbreakable bond.
