Arts and Letters
One of the most frequent questions about my work is what kind of poetry do I write? This book contains mostly Metaphysical poetry. This is a phase first coined by Samuel Johnson during 17th century England. He was a great poet of his time, so naturally he begins to read other poets work. Men like John Milton and Andrew Marvel gave him a certain perspective as he gradually ascertained that he had a certain kind camaraderie with these poets. I would imagine that he took an in-depth look at the alleged greatest Metaphysical poets of them all. This is John Dunne; he was a religious leader and the most prolific poet in the early 1600s. His style of poetry made the befuddled understand the perspective of the personification of man and proceeded to clearly bestow understanding to the unperceived. My goal is to make you aware of karma and moral values that are slowly creeping away from life’s equation. When I first begin this journey, it was just a dream and I had no perspective of what direction I would take, some will call it luck, others will call it a blessing, and I call it persistent persnickety preparation. History has shown that when you’re prejudice and attempt to hold others down, the results are always the same, in the end you will find yourself down as well. It is my hope that a few of you will go back to basics and remember our core values to love and respect your fellow man, and then I’ll pray my mission is accomplished.
