About the Author

Art recovered from his accident after spending six months in the hospital for 3rd-degree burns and other injuries. Several years later, he remarried and now has six grandchildren.
Art has approximately twenty US patents. He won the Exxon’s most valuable patent award twice and received numerous non-US patents. He received the Marquis Who’s Who lifetime achievement award for his engineering accomplishments.
After the accident Art returned to drag racing for several years and then raced boats to win many awards. He earned a pilot’s license and built an experimental plane.
