This is ridiculous. First the next book shows up so you can pre order it and then its not available. What the heck.

Ash - Elemental Series Book 6 - Shannon Mayer “But it was Lark he was sending away, not some criminal. And she was my heart. I was not sure I wasn’t already banished.” -This quote from the very first chapter really defines the emotion in Ash’s story. He and Lark have such a deep connection, and after all that happens to Ash, we pray that is enough to bring him back. This is an amazing read and I enjoyed it immensely. Once again, Shannon Mayer delivers a story from an amazing world with the richest characters. I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and as always I would have gladly paid for it!

This! This book is what we have all been waiting for! It delivered everything we have been begging for and more. I don't want to post any spoilers, so I am just gonna tell you it was fabulous. I read it all in one sitting as I have been dying to know where Ash has been all this time and how it happened. Now I just need the next installment to see what happens next! Stop reading reviews and just buy it already, you won't regret it!

Another great job by Shannon Mayer! I love this storyline and can't wait for the next book. This book answered some questions but really hooked me because it presented several more. Very well written and edited. You need to read the books in order though because it is just a continuation of the story. I highly recommend this series and this author! I have read all of Ms. Mayor's books in this genre and am always pleased! Do yourself a favor and read this series!

I received a ARC copy of Ash in return for an honest review. Ash is a great addition to the Elemental series. I absolutely love that ot is from Ash's point of veiw. How he feels, and what he see's. You get a really good idea on how much he loves lark. Also you get a lot of back story from this book. Ash also answers a lot of questions i have had from previous lark book, but that being said it also opens up more question. Personally a can not wait for the next book to come out. I want to know what's next im completely sucked in.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review, which I don't take lightly. This is the puzzle piece that fits!! Ash's story takes place while Larkspur is exiled to the desert, far from her home in the Rim. Ash goes hunting for her and ends up in the Eryie, and begrudgingly befriends a brain damaged Yeti. Yeah. That's what I thought too. "That's kinda way out there, even for Shannon Mayer", but wait, it gets good. Yeti are huge like the ogres of The Rylee Adamson series, but furry and with a sense of humor! Our Yeti friend makes a complicated life a little easier for Ash, even though Ash wasn't looking for humor, or a friend for that matter. We finally find out what Ash and Peta went through while Larkspur was exiled. Peta didn't have an easy time of it either. Now that we know what happened to Peta and Ash, there are more questions. Different questions. It wouldn't be a Shannon Mayer book without a twist here and a turn there. And this book twists and turns like driving on a San Francisco hill (or so I'm told).

I love Ash! Who wouldn’t love a man who is brave, undying in his love, and sexy! I loved having the story of events from Ash point of view. He has always been one of my favorite characters and to understand what happened to him while Lark was out saving the world is such a delight. Shannon hit another one out of the ball park! Peta was always a great character, but to add Norm as an additional character it really gives this story new depth. At first you feel sorry for Norm but you discover he is much more than he first appears to be. I know the book is about Ash, from Ash point of view, but I also think it is about Norm and hopefully his story will develop too. Shannon as always you keep me glued to your books. Please never stop!

“For that, the heart beats on, gaining in strength as it gained in purpose.” Strong words that show Ash's commitment to Lark. It was so good to read Ash's story and hear his emotions in his own words. His feelings for Lark will carry him far, and give him what he needs to make it through. His journey starts with the loss of the woman he loves, an attempted coup, and leads to a visit to somewhere never experienced before. Even thinking you know how this ends, you won't see how. Powerful story in Ash's voice, letting us know some of what occurred after the banishment and pulls together clues received in Lark's story. Not a stand alone, you need to be reading the series to understand how important Ash's story is. If you haven't started the Elemental series, do it now! Shannon Mayer is a talented author who never disappoints. The characters are strong (and like to kick butt!), the action flows, and the suspense keeps building. If you enjoy fantasy, this is a no miss series!

This book. This is the book I have been waiting for!!! Finally we find out what happened to Ash, Lark's lover and partner. I should put out a warning, it starts off where Lark was banished by her father and it nearly broke my heart all over again. Reading it from Ash's POV, made it seem so much worse. My heart broke all over again for him and Lark. Shannon uses this book to give us the inside look on Ash, how he works, how he thinks and operates. While Lark is banished to the desert, Ash and Peta are put through their own personal he*l. Some events help put a few questions into perspective, we also meet a few new characters and also start to second guess the motives/character of old characters. Overall this was a GREAT book, I was sad it ended so soon and I can't wait for the next book!

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for a honest review. While this is book 6 in the series it actually takes place in between Windburn and Rootbound.. I loved this book as it fills in the missing pieces with Ash while Lark is in banishment and it is in his point of view. We see Ash and Petas relationship deepen and more from Talan, is he good, evil or in between as it is unclear and it will keep you guessing.. Some questions are answered and some aren't and then you have some bombshells.. This book has left me wanting more and I can't wait for the next instalment..

Shannon's books are an escape for me. I can pick up one of her books and know that within moments I will be whisked away to whatever wonderful world she has decided to create and put into words. So it was no surprise that Ash had this same effect, and as I read I quickly realized that although I know how this book ends for his physical form there was so much that I didn't know about Ash. So many questions were answered but now I have so many more. Who can be trusted? Just when I thought I had things figured out I was thrown into a tailspin! It was great to fill in so much of the how and why for Ash and the resident baddies. And then there is Norm. I love Norm. I needed Norm and his love of pranks and sense of humor, his trusting nature and maybe a bit of innocence. I hope Shannon has great plans for him. This story is just absolutely perfect to me. Love and all it's magic, suspense and an ending that had my heart breaking for Ash! All I can really say now is READ THIS SERIES! You will fall in love with Shannon's imagination, her amazing writing, her sense of humor and all the characters that she throws herself into. She and this book will simply blow you away.

I loved this book. It was great to read the story from the POV of Ash. I don't agree with some reviewers that it was out of the timeline, I thought it fit in nicely. The ending left me waiting more. I absolutely can no wait for the next installment. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have to say that I absolutely loved it!! I loved seeing everything from Ash's point of view. You know exactly how he feels about Lark, and everyone else he comes across. You get some more Raven and Talon in this book. I won't ruin it for anyone but this book definitely starts to give you a clearer picture of those two. Who is good and who is bad, or so we think. Shannon is a good spinner so what we think now, could change. You just never know with her which is why I love her and all her stories. Can't wait for the next book in the series so we can see which way things play out from here. If you love Shannon's books you won't be disappointed with this one. You should really get it. It will keep your interest and don't be surprised if you finish it in one sitting. It's really hard to put down.

**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.** ------------------------ SPOILER ALERT - If you have not yet read Rootbound skip this! Have you wondered what Ash REALLY thinks of Lark? Are you curious as to HOW Ash was turned into a golden eagle? Maybe you just wonder what kind of trouble Lark's cohorts get into when she not around? If you answered yes to any - or all - of those questions, then this is the book for you! I won't lie - there were tears shed during the reading, some angry - some sad. Ash gets to tell us his side of the story starting with Lark's banishment to the desert and ending with when he next gets to see her - on Raven's arm. There's tons of adventure and action like any of Shannon's books, but the male narrative is an interesting perspective after so many female ones. Can't wait to see what Shannon brings us next!

I was provided a copy of Ash in exchange for an honest review. Ash is a part of the elemental world and is a novel from Ash’s POV. This absolutely CANNOT be read as a standalone novel. I have read the entire series. I will admit, I felt like I needed to go back and refresh my knowledge. Since Ash doesn’t take place in the current time line but picks up in the past and then brings us to the present. We get to see what he was doing while he and Lark had been separated. Shannon has a brilliant and devious mind. Just when you think you know who the good/bad guys are, there are twists and turns. It may not be, what it appears to be. I loved that we got to see Ash’s feelings for Lark. He truly loves her and wants nothing more than to protect and help her. His loyalty and love shines through. It is one of those reasons why Lark fell in love with him. I can’t wait to see where the story picks up next and how Shannon is going to tie all of these pieces together....Sara

I received an ARC copy for an honest review. I also purchased the book. I was quite interested to see what was going on in Ash’s head when it came to Lark. Ms. Mayer didn’t disappoint. The action was fairly constant throughout the book, which I’ve come to expect with this series. There were moments where I just needed to put the book down because the anxiety was building a bit too fast. However, the newest member of the group relieved the tension wonderfully. I now have a new favorite character in Norm! (Hint, hint, Shannon) I highly recommend anyone who loves urban fantasy or paranormal romance to read this series. You won’t be disappointed.

Another GREAT Book from the wonderful Shannon Mayer!!!! I'm so glad she wrote this book... I LOVE all her strong female lead characters... However, you don't realize what you are missing from the male characters until you hear from them. I'm so glad we heard from Ash, and were able to see who he is deep down, and how he really feels about Lark. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book..... Can't wait to see what the future holds for Ash and Lark....

I've been team Ash from the beginning, so I was very excited to find out he was getting his own book. I really enjoyed reading from Ash's POV. It provided even more reason for me to root for Ash as Lark's true love. It's action packed from the beginning to the end. Shannon Mayer is doing an incredible job of weaving this story. I feel like I'm lost in the depths of the ocean and I can't tell which way is up or down. Just when you think you might have things figured out, you're thrown a curve ball. Like Cassava might not be the uber b*tch we all hate. I’m dying to know how this all plays out, who truly is the bad guy (I’m beginning to dislike Talan more the further I get into this story), and just who are the voices both Ash and Lark hear. This was a fantastic addition to the Elemental series. I definitely recommend reading.

I have definitely missed Ash! This is actually a hard book to review..... you know exactly what is going to happen in the end (although you truly wish it wouldn't) but what you don't know is the "how" and "why" of it all. This is Ash's POV in between Windburn and Rootbound and I definitely recommend you read them before this one or it will get complicated. Shannon Mayer's writing style keeps you on the edge of your seat even taking into consideration all of the above comments. I can't say I've ever read a book where you know the outcome at the start and it STILL does not disappoint! Many long-standing questions are answered, bombs are dropped and even more questions are left unanswered which makes you rethink everything you thought you knew in the series so far. I laughed, I sniffled and when I reached the end, I was literally speechless.... I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. P.S. I love Norm!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this installment of the Larkspur universe through Ash’s eyes and point of view. And just like the rest of Ms. Mayer’s novels, this one does not disappoint! Lark has been banished by her father from the Rim, so Ash does what any good Ender should do; he heads out to find Cassava, who he sees as the root (pun intended) of all the problems in the Rim. Peta goes with him, and it is wonderful to see their relationship develop, as each is the link to Lark that keeps their hope alive. Between Cassava, Talan and Raven, it is a tangled web that the Ms. Mayer weaves, complete with lots of action, much humor (Norm!), heartbreak and intrigue. As always with Ms. Mayer’s books, I will be on pins and needles until the next book comes out! I received an ARC copy for an honest review, but I also purchased the book.

W-O-W!! Ash is phenomenal! Shannon delivers a crazy journey for Ash and it just has you feeling for the guy! This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster of a ride that just makes you want to slap some of those other characters. If you love Lark, you will love Ash and seeing things through his eyes allows you to understand him more.

So if you haven't been reading the elemental series, you're going to be very confused and it just won't make any sense. If you are keeping up, then you must not miss this book! This is the tale of Ash when Lark was gone and what happened to him before she found him. It was great, I. Depth and full of detail. I do feel for Ash, he's treated like a piece of meat with all of these women and I'm surprised he can still find love with all that happened. He has a great heart and he's a loyal guy. A must read for Lark fans! * I received this book in exchange for an honest review.*

Finally, we get to see what's behind the pretty face of Ash, the love and co-hort of Lark from the Elemental Series. This is book 6 in the series, and I would highly suggest you begin with book one and go forth. And binge read. I promise you won't be disappointed. I wasn't sure what this book was going to be like. I thought I knew Ash, but after reading this, I realize there was so much that I just brushed over with his story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the first chapter, to the end. As usual with the elemental series, it left me wanting more story and soon. Ash headlines this book, and Peta is along for the journey. There is no Lark in the book as it takes place during her banishment to the desert, but a lot of flashbacks take place that help fill in the gaps of the story. There are several new characters introduced, my favorite being Norm. There are also a few cross overs that you would be aware of if you have read the Tracker series. The writing is smooth, the action is consistent and what you think you might know, you might not. And that is just how I like it! I received an advanced copy in return for an unbiased and honest review.

It is hard for me to like a backstory story; however, the hook at the end really set it apart. For me, this story focuses on hope and love. Love to protect and hope to be protected. And as a reader, love of the storyline (Rylee and Lark) and hope for a happy ending with no more hooks. I think readers will like this peek into Ash's story and as Mayer fills in the blanks. I received an ARC copy for an honest review.

SO GOOD!!! I loved ASH! GREAT addition to the series. I know Lark loved Ash but in the previous books you never know how much that is reciprocated. Such great insight into not only that but other characters and really fills in the blanks on different aspects of the Elemental series. SO AMAZING and I can hardly wait for the next book! I love this series!!
