HERE IS A KNOCKOUT BOOK TO GET YOUR KID STARTED AS A WORLD CHAMPION READER! WORLD CLASS FIGHTER SALITA RELEASES CHILDREN'S BOOK Promoter, fighter...and now Dmitriy Salita can add "author" to his resume. "B Is For Boxing," an illustrated children's book which will help kids learn their A-B-Cs, is now in better bookstores everywhere. Authored by ex world title challenger Dmitriy Salita, along with Hall of Fame publicist Bill Caplan and Michael Salita, Dmitriy's brother, this book is an "outside the box" effort to get little ones on the road to mastering language basics. "I have been boxing since I am 13 years old at Starrett City boxing club in Brooklyn," Dmitriy Salita explains. "I love boxing and the many lessons it can teach. As a father I feel a responsibility to present the educational aspects of the sport that I love in an interactive educational way. My brother and I came up with this idea and have worked on combining the alphabet with meaningful boxing terminology and historical events that is appealing and educational to both kids and adults!" "A is for arena," pint-sized learners are told, and the illustrations, by Elena Stekacheva, help budding readers cement the alphabet in their brains. None other than former heavyweight champion George Foreman says this book is a knockout of a effort. "'B Is For Boxing" is an interesting book and a fun way to interact with children," says the ex pugilist who has ten children and 14 grand-children, "teaching them the alphabet and how to read." F is for "Big George Foreman," and tiny learners will enjoy the illustration of the massive ex pugilist and the splashy colors which help retain their focus. "'B Is For Boxing" is a champion selection to start your child on the road to being superstar in the arena of language.

Reviewed by Vernita Naylor for Readers' Favorite Learning is not only fundamental, it's necessary and crucial in today's world. With technology and bullying at an all-time high, we need stimulating books that interest our children, while finding ways to protect themselves - boxing is the answer. Dmitriy Salita has taken his love of boxing with a mixture of storytelling by Michael Salita, along with a flavor of colorful illustrations by Elena Stekacheva, to create B Is for Boxing. Children will not only learn a lot about the boxing industry as they read this book, but they will be able to view it as a children’s boxing dictionary. Dmitriy and Michael are not new to boxing and education and they have invited their friends, former boxing champion George Foreman and Boxing Hall of Fame publicist, Bill Caplan, along for the ride. Dmitry is a former number one World Welterweight Champion contender and his brother, Michael, is a teacher that works with special needs children. Children will learn boxing terms and meanings of words like weigh-in, decision, lightweight, welterweight, Golden Gloves and unanimous decision. Children will enjoy reading about boxing and the boxing industry as they learn. I saw this book as not only a great resource for children and parents to read together. With comments by the great former boxing champion, George Foreman, and Boxing Hall of Fame publicist, Bill Caplan, their support provided the book with a more well-rounded appeal. This book left no stone unturned as it touched on the various terms, accompanied by beautiful illustrations of the boxing world. This is a book that must be added to every children's library.
