About the Author

The author, Gwendolyn Ste. Marie graduated with a BA in Speech and a minor in English from Southeastern Louisiana College in Hammond. Her 30-year career as a writer includes ten years as a PBS Television Arts Correspondent, and twenty years as a freelance travel writer for periodicals with 150 published articles. Of French ancestry on both sides of her family, Ste. Marie, a Thibodaux, Louisiana native, grew up surrounded by French Cajun\Creole relatives.
