"What you need," said the girl sitting next to him at the bar, "is a good f*ck." And, so begins the first of many short tales that end up as anything but what is suggested by the girl at the bar. Some are funny. Some of the stories border on horror, others are science fiction, and many are hard to put a label on, although I wouldn't call any of them erotica. Many imply much of the story, with the reader left to fill in the gaps based on what they do know. What they all have in common is Naomi Kramer's warped and twisted imagination, which those who have read any of her Dead (ish) books have come to expect, and either love or hate them because of it. Love her books, or hate them, you won't find anything quite like Kramer anywhere else. **Originally written for "Books and Pals" book blog. May have received a free review copy. **

There were some funny and surprisingly random stories in this book. Two stories: "He thinks He's People" and "Friendship on Smack" amused me immensely. "Heinlein" was made better by the explanation at the end. It was helpful to have a small Australian slang dictionary at the end. I, personally, hate having to Google words while reading a book. It is very distracting. "Bad F**k" is a quirky, strange, and ironic collection of short stories that are very quick to read. Each one is no more than 10 Nook pages. It is easy to pick up while waiting in line, but watch out for uncontrollable outbursts in public. People will look at you strangely. Consider yourself warned. Adults only for this book and its mate due to sexual content, language and violence. But, if anyone has read the title, then it should be self explanatory. Which makes this warning totally unneccesary. -AvidReader
