If you have a cat or have ever had a cat as a pet, you will see some resemblance to Bad Kitty. Great read for the entire family. We love the entire series.

I purchased this book for my daughter who is five because she liked the cover and it made her giggle, so I figured, why not?...We came home and read the book together and she laughed so hard that I had to stop several times so she could hear what we were reading. To hear her laugh that way is priceless, the pictures are hilarious, and for anyone who has or has had a cat in the past, you can relate, trust me. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good belly laugh with their children, because, of course, it's contagious, so the whole family will be giggling right along.

I loved this book! Its so cute how they do stuff from A to Z. First bad kitty is told what the humens have for her to eat, which is all veggies(they name veggies from A to Z). Then bad kitty gets mad because she doesn't like veggies, so she dose bad stuff, such as "hack hairballs at are heads"(a list done from A to Z). Then the humens buy good food for bad kitty(again from A to Z). And then bad kitty does good stuff for biring her the good food, all done in order from A to Z. Its very funny.

Our 4-year-old son prefers books which appeal to his sense of humor and his capacity for mischief. This book delivers, telling the story while reviewing the ABC's four times throughout. We love reading and rereading it, and, now that my son has the book memorized, he reads it to himself. Fantastic and enjoyable book.

It’s always a special treat to hear a favorite book superbly read. Who doesn’t love Nick Bruel’s Bad Kitty series, and who better to deliver it with appropriate comic appeal than Emmy and Tony nominee Vanessa Williams? Yes, it is hilarious but it is also a four-part alphabet book that will have youngsters learning their ABCs whether they intended to or not. Our story opens when Kitty finds out that there’s no more cat food in the house, so she’s going to have to make do with veggies - Asparagus, Beets, Cauliflower, Dill - well, you get the idea. There’s the beginning of the alphabet which goes all the way through to Zucchini, and a menu that doesn’t appeal to Kitty at all. What does the frantic feline do? Ate homework, Bit Grandma, Clawed curtains, Damaged dishes, and so the rampage goes. However, things begin to look up when her owner returns from the grocery store with An assortment of anchovies, Buffalo burrito, Chicken Cheesecake, etc. So, how does Kitty make up for her bad behavior? Listen, read or do both with this Book and CD set. - Gail Cooke

This is a really cute book. I work in the children's department of a public library and this book has become my favorite. Kids love the humor as it teachs them the alphabet. I know it's about my cat. What a great expression of catatude!

Kitty gets in a bad mood when the family doesn't have any food left to feed it. But soon the owner brings her delicious food and she is happy again until a new puppy comes and the owner suggests Kitty shares its food...The food is HYSTERICAL! Yes, I'm an adult lauding over a children's book. The illustrator is a genius. The alphabetical principals are a great review. Loved this book!

What is the worst thing your kitty ever did? This bad Kitty creates all kinds of havoc when the family runs out of kitty food and they feed it healthy people food like Asparagus, Beets, Cauliflower, and Dill. This quadruple ABC book invites children to explore fun, sophisticated words in a semi-comic book format. After learning in ABC order the food Kitty did not like, Kitty took revenge when it ¿Ate my homework, Bit Grandma, Clawed the curtains, and Damaged the dishes.¿ But when the family returns from the grocery store with ¿an Assortment of Anchovies, Buffalo Burritos, Chicken Cheesecake, and a Donkey named Dave,¿ Kitty redeemed itself when it ¿Apologized to Grandma, Bought me new toys, Cleaned her Cat box, and Drove me to school.¿ The illustrations are humorous and accompany the lyrical rhythm of the words charmingly. You can¿t help but fall in love with the scrawny little cat and hope that there is a sequel. Imagine if the family adopted a dog! Highly recommended for children grades pre-K ¿ 2.

This is a very cute way to tell a story using the alphabet. The kitty is such a great charater that the illustrator/author describe in a creative way.

LOVED this book! I really like how the author manages to find something food-like for each letter twice! It is a really good teaching book for the alphabet and could be used as an opener to an activity where my students would draw a topic and then with each letter of the alphabet, come up with a word corresponding to their topic, just how Bruel has done in this book. Very creative!

I love cats so I was drawn to this book because of the cute kitty on the front. It turned out to be a super cute book about a cat in an alphabetical search of food and mischief. I see this mostly as just an anytime classroom reading book for young kids, but it could also be in an alphabet unit, obviously.

This alphabet book uses the abcs multiple times to show what the kitty doesn't like to eat when the family runs out of cat food, what bad things she does, and what she does like to eat as well as her acts of restitution, once she gets the food she likes.

This is a really fun alphabet book that delves into the mood swings of a very reactionary cat, ha ha. I guess the "good for kitty" food part didn't make much sense. I'm sure that was part of its intended charm, though!

A good kitty goes bad through the alphabet when her favorite treats are gone. What regret she has when it shows up in the shopping bag.Children's ABC bookI like this book a lot. It's ingenious the bad things the cat comes up with. Really super funny and in my opinion a little gross. I like it.This was a lot of fun to read to my First Graders. It illicitated more than a couple "oohs" or "UGGS." I really prefer to the "Fast Tracks" ABC reding we do. It has way more personality.

I enjoyed this book but it seemed a little long for the novice ABC'er. As I read this to my daughter, she got distracted with other things happening and I also did as well. Great drawings of the kitty but just a little too long. I give it 3 happy stars.

Great alphabet book. Introduces some difficult and interesting words that some little ones just love. Use of humor will keep 'em coming back to see the different variations of the kitty alphabet.

My nine-year old son took a while to really start enjoying reading. It was Bad Kitty that propelled him into the world of readers. These books are simple, fun, and sometimes educational!
