About the Author

USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy is an urban fantasy lover at heart, but she also enjoys losing herself in dark and sensual worlds. She lives in southwestern Ontario with her husband, who gave her a happily-ever-after. Together, they have two small children who can always make her smile, and who will never be allowed to read Mommy’s books. If she’s not plugging away at a new story, you’ll find her camping, curling up with the latest flick, or obsessing over Sons of Anarchy and Game of Thrones.

Chapter One

Stay quiet.

Be still.

Master Aidan’s unspoken demands washed over Cora Adams. In an X position, she lay on her back atop the cool, metal Saint Andrew’s Cross, her head resting on an added plank of wood. Leather straps held her in place, snug against her wrists, ankles, waist, and chest, and her legs and arms were spread wide.

Her Dom preferred her to be blindfolded as they performed their scene.

She had mentally agreed—she needed the darkness and the quiet. Only the lifestyle could give her the peace she wanted. Only Club Sin, and Master Aidan, could give her the contentment she craved.

The command of her Dom grounded her. He gave her a safe place to drift away from the pressures of life. Master Aidan could be rough when he wanted to, but he could also be caring, savoring the moment. Under his touch, she didn’t need vacations to clear her head, she needed only him.

Before he finished binding her to the table-like cross, the music had changed to a soothing song she’d heard once at a spa. The scent of Master Aidan’s woodsy aroma tickled through her nostrils. She licked her lips and drew her bottom lip between her teeth as warm air drifted across her puckered nipples.

His hand trailed along her thigh and moved to her hip in a delectable slow sweep, and she arched her body in acceptance of his touch. The press of the leather against her flesh burned into her core. Consumed by his dominance, engulfed in his powerful presence, she reacted to him like no other under his slow, sensual mastery.

“Quiet your mind, Cora.” His hand traveled over her hipbone. “Remain right here and in this moment.”

The low murmur fluttered her belly. His touch sent wicked heat storming into her loins. No choices. All pleasure. Complete submission. Her heart raced and she swallowed in anticipation of what was about to happen.

“There, Cora, much better.” A soft sigh escaped her as his fingertips caressed up her side and she shivered at his baritone. “Stay in my space.”

Rapid fire coursed through her veins, making her strain against the bindings. His low chuckle drifted across her and his knuckles brushed across her rib cage before his touch vanished.

She quietly waited for him.

The loud click cut through the silence and as warmth slid up her body, her lips curved. As the stream of wax landed above her belly button, she moaned. The next drop fell above the other, and she fought the yearning to squirm into his offering.

The heat spread quickly across her abdomen, and she cursed her bindings. Her body throbbed to move with each drop. She pulled against the straps, causing the leather to tighten and chafe her flesh. Her mouth moistened in excitement as the wax moved toward her taut nipple.

She groaned, aching for the heat right there—right where she needed it. Her nipples puckered tightly, so desperate for his mouth. As if he read her thoughts, his hand settled on the curve of her breast. She lifted her chin and her inner muscles clenched.

More . . .

The pool of heat came faster and faster again . . . until there was no beginning and no end, only warmth spreading like a heated blanket over her. Her sex clenching in adulterated desire.

His warm breath caressed her ear. “Still with me?”

“Still here, sir,” she whispered.

“Very nice,” he murmured.

3.5 Stars Stacey Kennedy entertains in Bared, the second installment of the erotic romance series Club Sin. The opening BDSM scene with Cora Adams and Master Aidan Knight is scorching hot, so much so that you’ll be fanning yourself. Cora and Aidan, although not in an exclusive relationship, have only played with each other in the dungeon at Club Sin for a couple of years. During these years, Cora’s feelings for Aidan have deepened and changed; she has fallen in love with him. Cora hasn’t told Aidan about her feelings because he is still grieving his wife’s passing and isn’t ready for more than play time. I really felt Cora’s anguish as her love for Aiden isn’t returned. At times, I found Cora’s inability to be honest with Aidan troublesome. Aidan has always felt their special connection at the club. After one of their scenes at the club, Aidan notices a deep hurt in Cora while she is talking to one of her friends. He pursues the issue with Cora relentlessly, changing the dynamics of their relationship in the process. When Cora finally admits her love, Aidan is blindsided by the news. I found Aidan’s character to be annoying at best. Everyone at the club could see that Cora is in love with him, but Aidan didn’t see it and couldn’t figure it out. As I read, I kept hoping that Aidan would get a clue, but there were too many roll-my-eyeball moments with his inability to assess his situation. Even though Cora and Aidan’s relationship is filled with angst, I was disappointed that there wasn’t enough romance to really build them into a couple to be reckoned with. For me, Kennedy’s development of secondary characters, Porter Marshall, Cora’s ex-boyfriend, and Kyler Morgan, a Master at the club, saved this book. Porter and Kyler are wonderful friends in the way that they take care of Cora after everything goes down with Aidan. Blunt and brutally honest, Kyler reads Aidan the riot act about how his actions have hurt Cora, which I just adored. In the end, I really enjoyed the Porter and Kyler’s interactions with Cora and Aiden. Even though I was disenchanted with the couple in this book, I found Bared to be an enjoyable read. I am hoping the next visit to Club Sin will be a better romance. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for purpose of an honest review for The Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle: *eARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review --Actual rating 4.5 Skulls Bared is not just an erotic BDSM novel. It is a book with extreme heart and gripping emotion. It sucks you in and doesn't let go. Coming from a reader who doesn't generally read BDSM, Stacey's CLUB SIN series is an absolute winner! Our hero lost his partner some years ago. She was the love of his life and his committed Sub. Our heroine came to the scene over 2 years prior (before the start of Book #1 in the series). and the two play together exclusively now, even though there's no agreement to do so. After 2 years of pleasure and emotion Cora falls in love, but she knows that he's not over the loss of his last partner, and she doesn't want to risk losing what they DO have should she tell him how she really feels.  With all of that said, amongst the super hot Club scenes in the book, it was a tale of self-realization, healing, emotion, and an earned love. I enjoyed Bared a lot! I was surprised how much I had liked the first book of the series (even though I shouldn't have been, I'm an uber Stacey Kennedy fangirl!), but Bared really moved me and I would recommend it to anyone!!

I really had fun reading this book! It was steamy, the characters had good chemistry and surprisingly had plenty of humor. This story is refreshing because while Aidan's character is wholeheartedly a Dom, he's not the kind of Dom that you would expect. He has his issues from his past that affect how he treats his subs which in turn causes him to realize that there is something missing in his life which is at constant war with his Dominant nature. I think Aidan and Cora make a great couple, they are both strong individually but I think were even stronger together. They cared for one another and looked out for each other throughout their whole experience. I have to say I had tears in my eyes at some parts and was then laughing out loud other parts! Stacey took me through all the emotions and I absolutely loved it!! Some of it was very intense and some parts very HOT, panty melting HOT!! I was drawn into this book and the characters straight away, I suggest that when you read this make sure you can carry on to the end because you will not want to put it down!! Loved this so much, highly recommend it and can't wait for the next!! Oh! I hope Porter gets his own book! He is just an amazing character and he deserves a happy ending too!

I really enjoyed this book, I couldn't put it down and I finished it in a day. Aidan Knight is the master and Cora Adams is his submissive, things are working out great for Aidan but Cora falls in love with him and she knows he's still in love with a woman who died several years ago. Cora was a nice character, I liked her. She keeps her true feelings hidden from him, but she still wished that one day Aidan would see her differently and return her love. Aidan was very serious in his dominant master role but still came over as a nice guy. He was a bit slow at times, I can't call him selfish, just a bit stupid. Cora and Aidan's time together was at times very erotic and steamy with some BDSM, but I thought the story wasn't over done with too many sex scene's. I  liked the storyline, and the characters were very interesting. I would like to read more from the Club Sin series. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is one of those stories where the characters stay with you. You get to know them so well and when you see their worst fears coming true your heart breaks with them. Stacey Kennedy has created a rich and powerfully emotional read. She definitely pulled me deeper into the story this time, even more than with the first in the series. I cannot wait to see what she does the third time. I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

Comparing this book to FSOG is an insult!!! A beautifully written story of real life tragedy, that leads to heartache and desolation, and over-shadows the opportunity for a second chance, when presented right before your eyes. The first in this series was passionate and compelling, but this sequel has devotion, heartbreak, compassion and grief, which all combine to make the story enthralling and riveting from the very first page. The talent of this author only makes my love of Stacey Kennedy’s Club Sin series, continue to grow.

This books breaks through all the bull of a D/s relationship. It is captivating and creative. Hold the reader riveted to the story and the character within. Excellent job Stacey. Can't wait for more.

This was the first erotic novel I had read in many years, I'm more of the suspense/fantasy type person. But I read a sample and got hooked, I was so involved that I read the whole thing in one sitting!

Last year, I had the pleasure to read Claimed by Stacey Kennedy and met my new future dom, Dmitri. The book is a part of the BDSM series Club Sin. Recently, Ms. Kennedy released the second book in the series, Bared. I greedily ran to NetGalley to scoop up my review copy. Bared highlights Aidan Knight, our hot Club Sin dom, and Cora Adams, his submissive. The first thing I liked about the book was the couple was totally different from Dmitri and Presley from the first book. Aidan's and Cora's dynamic is one of frustrated friendship. They have been in a D/s relationship for two years. They have limited their play to within Club Sin. But eventually, Cora learns she wants more from Aidan than what they currently have. I like Cora. She's a strong female, but like many strong females she tends to hide her emotions when they really count. She has hidden her love from Aidan thinking he didn't feel the same way. Unfortunately, her bottled up feeling come roaring out and she demand all or nothing. Aidan is very likable, an all around good guy, but he's still struggling with the death of his last girlfriend. Aidan truly cares for Cora but doesn't know how to get past the hurt and guilt of Lily's death. He fights to come to terms with his past to create a new future with Cora. The story is emotional and passionate. The interaction between Aidan and Cora compels the reader to root for them. The plot is fast pace and engaging, the characters have depth, and the sex is sizzling. I definitely recommend this book and the Club Sin series. So far, Dmitri is still my favorite dom, but I eagerly wait to see if Ms. Kennedy can change my mind.

** 4.5 stars ** I really, really liked Claimed. I loved Bared. Having met Cora and Aidan in the first book, we got a glimpse of their D/s relationship, but something definitely seemed to be up with these two. As it turns out, there's a lot up with them. Cora is in complete love with Aidan, has been for the entire time they've had their D/s relationship. But Aidan lost one love in his life, and to prevent ever feeling that way again, he refuses to see Cora as his love. But really, it's not that simple. Aidan feels a lot of turmoil and guilt over his loss, and he just can't let that go. What he doesn't realize is that his denial is slowly chipping away at Cora's heart. And this, it was so heartbreaking and so very well-expressed on the author's part. Cora is such an endearing character, and every time she looked into Aidan's eyes hoping to see love, and didn't, it hurt me right along with her. But Kennedy characterized Aidan really well, also. As frustrating as his actions and thoughts were, getting that glimpse into his mind helped keep the frustration at bay. It was a painful journey all the way around, but very rewarding as well. I was completely pulled in, and pretty fascinated with not only this push-and-pull between a woman and a man, but also between Dom and submissive. In case I haven't been plain enough with my praise, I really loved Bared. It was a story that was heavy on the emotions, without being completely melodramatic. I was fascinated by how in tune Aidan and Cora were, and how they perfectly completed one another. I mentioned in my review of Claimed that I liked the dynamic of the D/s relationship and the BDSM in this series, and that still holds true. These "Masters", they are really great, nice men who happen to be Doms, not complete overbearing assheads. It seems that their focus is more on pleasure and fulfillment of the lifestyle. I have a good idea (I think) whom the next book in the Club Sin series will be about, but regardless of who that is, I am most definitely continuing this sinfully delicious series. Favorite Quote: Blinking her eyes into focus, her gaze went right to him. To Aidan. Under his commanding watchfulness, her heart fluttered. Master Aidan's face was chiseled with ruggedly handsome features and lips that always held a slight curve. She looked directly into his gray eyes and she was mesmerized. The man was more than her Dom, he was perfection. A hardworking, strong, and caring man, the world was a better place with Aidan in it. He centered her.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 REVIEW:  What a way to start a book. Chapter one was a bit intense and something you would find in the middle of any other book. But Stacey throw us into the deep in of the pool in this story.  I really did enjoy Aidan & Cora’s story. But these two tried my nerves. Both love and care for the other but the last two years has been a personal kind of hell for both of them. Cora is afraid to tell Aidan about her feelings fearing that he will run from her. Aidan just tries to not feel anything at all. So when Aidan sees that Cora is hurting he wants to know why. Just that one small questions could wreck everything that they have had the last two years.  Really love the way that Stacey writes a story. It tugs at your heart strings, makes you want to slap the characters and jump for joy when they finally figure it all out. If you love book one of the Club Sin series you will love Bared.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley & Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

After learning about the BDSM world through a college project, Cora learned she was meant to be a submissive. When she moved to Club Sin and met Master Aidan, she found the perfect D/s relationship and devoted her weekends to her new world. Aidan was a tortured sole after losing the woman he loved, his previous submissive, to a drunk driving accident. Cora falls in love with Aidan right away, but with every weekend that passes by, she tries to heal him and hope he can one day return her love. Bared is a great BDSM story! The characters had steaming chemistry that added to the intensity of their scenes. Since Cora and Aidan didn't see each other outside of Club Sin for most of the story, I felt that the issues between them pretty much made the story crawl along. It took me a while longer to finish the book because of that, but as I got closer to the end, things picked up for me and my interest spiked again. I did think the actual ending was absolutely adorable and had to laugh out loud as I got my happily ever after! Yippee!

Stacey writes some of my favorite erotica stories. They are well developed and have good characters. Master Adrian was still trying to recover from the death of his wife Lily. He was in a 2 year commitment with his new Sub Cora. He cares for her in scenes but that is all that matters for him. Cora has worked to help him recover and has fallen in love with him. It finally happens that it isn't enough for either of them. I got really caught up in them trying to fix their lives. This was a 3 tissue box read. This is a true over 18 read. If you don't like erotica pass on by. But if you like BDSM then be sure to read this one.
Emily-SBDR More than 1 year ago
Bared is hard to categorize. It's a sweet BDSM novel. Yes, it still has the kink factor. However, the relationship between Aidan and Cora has a strong basis of friendship and deeper emotions than I usually see in these types of books. I have to say though, I LOVED this book. The emotions were so raw and intense. I connected on every level with Cora and felt Aidan's intensity through and through. Their relationship was also a unique one, that I don't think I have read before. Aidan and Cora have been in a non-committed, yet exclusive, D/s relationship for two years when Bared begins. From the first page Ms. Kennedy blows your mind with Cora and Aidan's relationship. I was completely submersed in their lives and I didn't want to get out anytime soon. Again, this isn't your normal BDSM book. There is still the tragic past aspect, BUT it doesn't have any bearing on Cora or Aidan's need to explore the BDSM lifestyle. There was no excuse for their need of bondage, domination or submission. It's just who they are and I loved that.  Bared starts out a Club Sin in mid-scene for Cora and Aidan. I was a little shell-shocked at the beginning, not because it was an outlandish scene but, because not many books start out in a sex scene. Though, in my honest opinion, there are no sex scenes with Cora and Aidan. It always feels like something more. But the night goes on to be a turning point for the pair. When confronted about her true feelings, Cora bolts and must finally deal with the emotions she has kept locked away. Of course, Aidan, in all his dominant glory, isn't willing to let her get away that easy. Little does he know, the pain in Cora's eyes is directly related to him. Aidan will proceed to push and push until he is also forced to deal with the demons he was never prepared to revisit. The toll their hidden emotions take on these two is almost irreparable. But with the help of their friends and their basic need for each other they will have an opportunity to make a future together. It's not just a future together they need though. They have to be whole in who they are, and they just aren't there yet. Cora is on the verging of shutting down for good and Aidan can't get past his misplaced guilt from his dark past. There were times I wanted to smack both Cora and Aidan upside the head. But I kept reminding myself that, to a third party the solution looks easy. When you're in an emotional trench so deep, like these two are, it's harder to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is a very tedious and trying road back but, the end scene is SO worth the journey. This is another "all the emotions" book. And while it did get a bit wordy in places at the beginning, it was terrifically written and absorbed my full attention from Chapter 1 to "The End". The struggles Cora and Aidan faced were those that I could sympathize with and made my heart hurt. But their story was fully developed and showed so much growth on everybody's part. I'm officially dubbing this a "sensual BDSM" book. The kink isn't tamer but, the couple's relationship is much more multi-faceted than the norm. I truly loved Cora and Aidan's relationship and the little bits we got from Presley and Dmitri, and Kyler and Kenzie. You can definitely bet I will be visiting Club Sin again with the future books, and frankly I can't wait!  Happy Reading! *ARC provided by author/published through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

My love for this series and its author continues with the second book about Master Aidan and his sub, Cora. They first appeared in Claimed, and back then I was ensnared with the brief glimpses of this couple. Everyone around them kept alluding to the fact that they would make a perfect pairing outside of the club. Cora was already in love with Master Aidan and Aidan seemed to adore her. They didn’t play with anyone else but one another. For two years! So what was holding them back? Altruism and a ghost. I was pleasantly surprised that Cora wasn’t a heroine who backed away from giving her heart to Aidan for selfish reasons. She was an altruistic individual which seemed to stem not only to her true nature but also from her profession. As a social worker dealing with troubled teens, she liked helping people, she knew when to push and when to back off. When it came to Aidan, she wanted him to come to the realization on his own that they would be good together, that he could confide in her, and she wanted him to finally see that she was in love with him. She didn’t want to tell him for fear that he might see it as an ultimatum to put a label on what they had and scare him away. All because she felt he was still mourning the submissive he had once loved and lost. Thanks to Presley’s well-meant meddling, Aidan became suspicious that Cora was keeping something from him, something troublesome. He suddenly felt like he didn’t really know her, and that bothered him a lot. My first impression of Aidan was that he was a stern Dom, one who took himself a little bit too seriously but would never intentionally hurt Cora. As the story unfolded, it became clear that Aidan wasn’t just mourning or stubborn. He really was oblivious to her feelings. It was both endearing and frustrating. One might argue that a Dom would or should intuitively know what his submissive was thinking or feeling, and the fact that he couldn’t even read some pretty obvious, in-your-face comments from his friends was a little startling. Normally I loathe circumstances where a problem could be solved with communication and honesty, however this was an exception. I know how important honesty and trust is in a D/s relationship, and they had that but only within the dynamics of giving and receiving pleasure. Not everyone in the lifestyle has to have a romantic relationship or divulge matters of the heart, so this problem of theirs felt believable. Cora was simply too caught up in her fear of losing Aidan completely to be honest with him, and Aidan was unconsciously craving control at all times. The ‘box of tissues moment’ happened for me as soon as their misguided methods of trying to help one another blew up in their faces. Aside from this couple’s very emotional journey, the rest of the gang was there to lend support and run interference. What the author has done very well was to show that the bonds of friendship extended well beyond just the shared interest in a kinky lifestyle. They ran interference where necessary, took sides and gave sound advice. The story had a nice pacing and flow, the characters were fleshed out as they moved from through emotions, delusions and epiphanies, and the emotional connection was off the charts hot. As soon as I finished, I went back to re-read the first book and then read this one more time. So would I recommend it? Absolutely. Wow! Just Wow! I'm not sure where to start. I loved this book. The range of emotions and self-discovery that were covered in this were unbelievable. This is the second in the Club Sin series and it's the perfect next step. The pain of loss that the characters experience is real and raw. You are left wrung out with all of the emotional ups and downs throughout the book. It was hot where hot was appropriate and phew was it hot but in the scenes where it wasn't right, it wasn't there just for the sake of being there and I truly appreciated the author's thinking on those parts. The connection between the two characters was so deep and real that you could feel their pain as you went along. You could really connect with them on a level that there was no guessing what they were going through because you were going through it with them. I cannot wait to read the next installment of this series, if it's only half as good as this one, it will be amazing!
