Basics of Physical Education and Sports

Physical education programs in past have been described by various terms that still influence this field today. This rich heritage provides a foundation for the programs that currently exist in the many western countries. Understanding the definition, aim, and purpose of physical education will help a pupil to conceptualize this field, while understanding affective, cognitive, and psycho motor objectives will ensure that he/she know what physical education programs seek to accomplish.
