About the Author

Mike Exinger is a 21st Century Renaissance man...that's what he says, while others would say, “Cripes, he's had a lot of jobs.” Born in Ann Arbor, MI during the Truman administration, he's been a Banker, Radio DJ, University Professor, Freelance Writer, Jewelry Artist, and an Ice Cream Guy (that was his first job and his current one 40+ years later). He currently resides about 500 yards from the Pacific Ocean in Seaside, OR.

Writing credits include: Former freelancer with 100+ articles, including gaming magazines such as Casino, Casino Executive, Double Down, Thoroughbred Times, American Turf Monthly, HorsePlayer and Card Player.

He's also a risk taker...or a gambler. What is in a name, anyway? After all, his parents accused him of playing the horses, while he merely though he was investing in horse futures.

I've been reading Mike's insightful and painstakingly logical approach to games of chance since the mid-90s. My first success with him was on a horse called In Like Flynn in 1993. Mike has a knack for breaking down even the most complex things into simple, easy to understand methods. With the advent of the Internet, his words of wisdom are much easier to obtain and share with others. You won't be disappointed.
