About the Author

Lucy Coats went to university in Edinburgh and graduated with a degree in English and Ancient History. Lucy's first job was as an editor for a children's book publisher, and it wasn't long before she started writing herself. Lucy lives in Northamptonshire.

Sarah Dyer studied Illustration at Kingston University before going on to write and illustrate her own children's books. Sarah's very first picture book, Five Little Fiends (978-0-7475-5949-8) was awarded the Bronze Smarties prize. Sarah has written and/or illustrated a number of books, including The Girl With the Bird's-Nest Hair (978-0-7475-7140-7) and Monster Day at Work (Frances Lincoln).
Lucy Coats is a former editor and the author of dozens of books for children including the Greek Beasts and Heroes series. Lucy lives in Northamptonshire with her family.
Sarah Dyer is the Smarties Prize-winning creator of the picture book Five Little Fiends. As well as writing and illustrating, she teaches illustration at the universities of Kingston and Middlesex. Sarah lives in Hove with her husband and baby son.
