AudioBook Review Stars: Overall 4 Narration 5 Story 4 I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t know this series was to come to a close- I was late to the party and have only been around for the last 3 titles. But, having loved the Wild Seasons series by this duo, and really enjoying the two I had read in this, I was all in for a wild ride. And wild it was. These are characters who are going through all the growing pains of their mid-20’s, and seem to always gravitate back to that core group of friends who have supported them through thick and thin. In this story, the main focus is on Pippa and Jensen’s story. Pippa walked in on her boyfriend in flagrante, and not being a doormat she decided to continue with her plans to travel to the US with her friends Ruby and Niall (Book 4), but without the boyfriend. On the flight over, she is chatting, then babbling, then rambling on to the cute guy in the next seat. She’s one of those people who may engage their mouth before their brain, but she never means harm and is so damn likable and engaging that it’s hard to find fault. Now, the cute guy is Jensen, recently givorced, he’s thrown all of his energy into work rather than dealing with what is making him unhappy. His little sister Hanna (also heading to the US to trek around with Ruby, Niall, Pippa and her man, Will, decides that enough is enough, and convinces Jensen to come along. Not really a part of the original group, Jensen is accepted in with few growing pains simply because he’s Hanna’s. While he’s curious about the chatterbox, he’s not really intrigued. Not really. Honest. Vacation romances are meant to start and stop just there – and both Pippa and Jensen do try to keep up that façade, but there is more: great chemistry, personalities and conversations that just mesh, and the build as they got closer developed organically. And Jensen did run scared a bit when they returned to London, not that it would completely stop Pippa, but there were moments when he really had to face everything he had ignored and buried under work. Their communication really did provide the key to bridging the rift, and having the input and backstories from the group, as well as their support, was a huge factor. Narration for this title is from Grace Grant, Sebastian York, Jonathan Cole and Jeremy York. While I’m not normally a fan of multiple narrators in a story, the four managed to present a seamless performance, with distinct voices, accents and cadences for each character, clearly presenting dialogue and story as well as allowing the silences to remain, adding to the emotional context, humor and even those awkward pauses when something falls flat or resonates deeply with the characters. With moments to check in on the earlier couples and seeing the changes and challenges that they have endured, coming out from the other side with new perspectives, attitudes and lives, the conclusion to this series could not have been more appropriate, particularly for those who couldn’t wait for the next book. I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Simon and Schuster Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This was the final book in the series, and I loved it. Jensen was one we'd met in the other stories, and so it was nice to see him finally get his true love. I couldn't remember at first who Pippa was, for some reason I was thinking she was Niall's ex-wife, but then realized that she just was best friends with his current wife, Ruby, and we did meet her before, in their book, Beautiful Secret. I fell in love with Pippa right away, the confidence she had in herself, man, did I love that about her! The way she felt about a casual relationship, I've said those very things to myself in past situations. So I really connected with her in that way. Although I would never be able to pull of the cool way she caught Jensen talking about her and how she turned it around and didn't let it make her cry or feel horrible. I'd have been humiliated, and everyone would have known it. Jensen and Pippa had some of the best interactions, so kooky and sarcastic, and just perfect! I would love a relationship like that. I also wish I had some friends to go on a fun road trip like this with. Of course I'd hope they had a single guy for me to be a 5th wheel with. I did get a little cranky when the chapters stopped being alternate between both characters. I know when that happens that the one we are now hearing from more is about to get something major dropped on them. My connection to Hanna was totally reinforced in this story when they talked about just throwing out the Tupperware instead of cleaning it, partly because they don't care for leftovers that much. I'll end up having to just throw leftovers away that family sends home with me. No matter how good it was when I had it at their place, I often just can't make myself want to eat the leftovers. Anyway, since this was the final book in the series, we got several short epilogues from all the characters, even George, although his was a little bit shocking at first. And then Chloe having the baby, that part was perfect. A great ending, to a great series!

I received an extended free sample and I thought the story was really interesting. Our main character is a quirky heroine who is humorous, sometimes awkward, but relatively (even in not her best state) self aware. The book initially leads you to believe she's a reliable narrator, but you are quickly left unsure. The heroine has an interest in music, but perhaps more specifically in Calvin who happens to play the music. Calvin is a man shrouded in mystery.  The flow of the story is fast paced, but very conversational and seems like it would be an easy, fun read. The cover suggests this is not the kind of book I would typically pick up, but again, it truly appears to be very funny and not just a typical love sick girl meets boy rom com

This book is the last in the Beautiful series. Jensen Bergstrom is an attorney striving to make partner to the exclusion of any kind of personal life. His sister talks him into joining friends on a wine-tasting tour and he sees the girl who sat beside him on the flight from London. She drank too much champagne and he pretended to be asleep so he wouldn’t have to listen to her anymore. Now they would be together for two weeks. If things were not bad enough, his ex-wife was also on the tour and he just introduced Pippa as his wife. Had he lost his mind or what? How were they going to handle this when he wasn’t even sure he liked her? She was too outrageous in her dress and language for him so why was he smiling so much? I hate to see the end of this great series but really liked how the authors brought all the characters together for the final scene in Chloe's hospital room.

Loved Pippa & Jensen's story so very much. Not only did we get to know two more characters in this world but we got to spend a little more time with those that we'd already learned to love. With each epilogue we got to take one more glimpse into the lives of the men and women who made these books so real. The characters were sometimes crazy, bawdy, irreverent, funny and real. You can see your friends in these characters or that you wished were your friends. As sad as it is to say good-bye to these characters it was a fitting end to such an amazing series.

I loved, loved, loved Jensen and Pippa’s story so much and I was so excited while reading it. Right from the start I was hooked and couldn't get enough. Fantastic first meeting between the two, it was awesome. This story was filled with so much humor and wit, on more than one occasion I burst out laughing. This was hilariously awesome! Jensen and Pippa were such amazing characters with so much depth and I loved learning their ins and outs. Together they had so much chemistry and I loved watching that connection the two shared truly grow. Jensen seemed so uptight and reserved and Pippa was such a free spirit but so endearing, those worlds colliding was just an entertaining delight. The writing is stellar with great details and an incredible build that had me on the edge of my seat, ignoring real life as I immersed myself into this world. I was just so connected and invested in Jensen and Pippa's relationship. There were so many wonderful moments and things happening, these two gave me butterflies. It's heartfelt and emotional and all of it coming together at the end had me cheering. More than Jensen and Pippa, it's all the secondary characters that are involved. Bennett and Chloe. Max and Sara. Will and Hanna. Niall and Ruby. How the authors integrated all the characters was perfect. I was so happy to see where they are now and what's in store for them. It just made me ridiculously happy. The epilogues and how they were set up was absolutely brilliant. It was just such a clever and thoughtful way to end the series bringing things full circle. I loved it! Wonderful ending with Jensen and Pippa coming together. I have no words to express how heartfelt it truly was, so open, honest, and loving. This is absolutely one of my favorite series and I will forever recommend it to anyone that will listen because each and every one is amazing. Jensen's and Pippa story was no exception. Full of heart and humor, Beautiful is not to be missed! A stellar read. On a personal note, I'd like to say something profound or witty to truly express how much I loved and adored this story, from start to finish, all the characters and the epilogues, but all I could do when I finished was sit and smile with tears in my eyes (and down my cheeks!) and say thank you to the wonderful writing duo of Christina Lauren. Thank you for this story that filled my heart, thank you for the spectacular writing, stellar details and build. Thank you for the well crafted characters of Jensen and Pippa in Beautiful. Thank you for it all. Complimentary copy received for honest review.
