I am not an avid practitioner of Wing Chun, however I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I have been exposed to the art through friends and this book provided me a level of understating so that I could relate to the topics associated with Wing Chun. The author was very detailed and straight to the point. The book was not over powering and was what I considered an easy read. This book is not an instruction manual as to how to do Wing Chun but more of a instruction manual on positioning from the mental prospective. This book guides you on what you should be feeling and thinking in the moment to accurately project or demonstrate the positions. I kiddingly told someone I felt that it was the instruction manual for the instruction manuals. The book is meant to take a basic understanding of the art to the next level. The book defines the physical positions of the art but also defines the mental aspect of the positions. Anyone physically capable can demonstrate a position from the physical aspect but in order to the really understand the full circle of Wing Chun, you must have the mental definitions as well. It is very well written and hopefully the book will be a part of a series of more books to come
