With an appealing combination of danger and desire, this action-packed friends-to-more romance captivated my attention page after page! The author’s attention to technical detail and skillful descriptions immersed me (pun intended) into the world of Carrington, North Carolina and the lives of Leigh and Ryan. Fans of romantic suspense authors such as Dani Pettrey, Lynette Eason, Rachel Dylan, and Cara Putman definitely need to pick up Blackburn’s work! I highly recommend this story and eagerly anticipate reading the next installments of this and future series! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

This was the first book by Lynn H. Blackburn that I have every read but it definitely won't be the last. Romantic suspense is one of my favorite genres, and Beneath the Surface did not disappoint! Beneath the Surface is the first book in her Dive Team Investigations Series. Having Dive Team Investigations as the premise of the series was so intriguing. This was a fast-paced thrilling romantic suspense novel that kept the reader guessing until the end. I was completely surprised by "whodunnit," but I would have liked to see more of a reason "why" the person committed the crimes. However, in real-life criminal cases, we don't always get the answer of "why" either. The author’s knowledge and research in the both the medical field and law enforcement was evident. I loved the long time friendship of Leigh Weston and Ryan Parker and the possibility of it turning into something more. I also loved the supporting character of Gabe and his wonderful personality. I hope he gets his own story later in the series! I can't wait to read Adam and Sabrina's story in Book 2 of the series. Lynette Eason is one of my favorite authors, and I recently read Code of Valor (Book #3 in her Blue Justice Series). She had a crossover section in part of the book where the Dive Team Members from this book assisted with a case in her book. I can't wait to go back and reread Code of Valor since I now am familiar with the Dive Team characters! I would definitely recommend Lynn H. Blackburn to fans of romantic suspense.

TOTAL ADRENALINE RUSH! Beneath the Surface (Dive Team Investigations Book # 1) by Lynn Blackburn is a Total Adrenaline Rush! Blackburn is a new to me author and I am a fan! I am a voracious reader and I need to be “hooked” quickly. Blackburn had me “hooked” in the first paragraph and I was totally invested within the first five pages. This is not a novel to read in snippets or to be read at the same time as you are reading two/three other books. (There are plenty of novels that can be read this way.) This plot is complex and if you come and go in your reading too many times or read too many other books while reading this one, you could easily lose the intensity, forget who secondary characters are and miss nuances that may be key to solving the mystery. Blackburn has given readers a truly amazing romantic suspense novel. The setting is a small town with a medical center and a neighborhood with large lots and a huge lake behind the homes. Blackburn’s characters are realistic, complex, the best at their professions, working to strengthen their faith, the romance is sweet and tender and and one is pure evil! She manages to keep you on the edge of your seat for the entire book and makes you feel as though you are running for your life. The intensity continues to rise throughout the book. There’s nothing quite as creepy as reading along and discovering the killer is from your hometown! That’s when you momentarily FORGET you’re reading fiction and start rereading the name and see if you recognize it so can ask family and friends if they recognize it! That’s REALISTIC FICTION!

I am pleased to post this review of an enjoyable romantic suspense novel by an author who is new to me. When an author portrays characters who have real struggles with their faith and question why God has allowed or is allowing certain things to transpire, I feel those struggles and the characters become more real to me. The questions don’t need to be answered for me to enjoy the story. If every question were answered, the book would not be believable. God is under no obligation to answer all of our questions. In this story, we find Ryan questioning why God allowed his nephew to be autistic and why his sister’s husband left her for another woman. Leigh is questioning why God is allowing so many attacks to come her way. Naturally, I want to find out who is after her and whether there is any connection between the attacks on her and the body found in the lake. And on the romantic side, will Ryan ever get past the threats his best friend Kirk made to do Ryan bodily harm if he ever attempted to date his sister? Packed with suspense intertwined with romance, the story will keep your attention.

Hokey smoke, what a ride! This is a brilliant story superbly done! This is the first book by Lynn Blackburn I've read, and it most certainly won't be the last. I'm only sorry there aren't a lot more books to read by this author. Ms Blackburn is right up there with Lynn Eason, and the many others who have mastered this genre. The plot is well thought out, and there is plenty of action as the investigations into one murder, then another and an apparent stalking converge. The characters are charming and realistic. The romance is interesting. In all, it is a fantastic book that will hold you to the end. Enjoy.

On a routine diving drill, a decapitated and dismembered body is found in a quiet lake. Homicide investigator Ryan Parker, Gabe Chavez, and dive captain Anissa Bell are suddenly thrust into a murder investigation. Worse yet, Leigh Weston, whom Ryan is coming to care for, has become an object of several no-holds-barred murder attempts. I loved getting in on the ground level of this new series. It was also fun to see other relationships, besides Leigh and Ryan’s, develop just enough that we can reasonably be assured they will get their own story. Also, Blackburn develops all her characters to the point I care about somewhere between 6-10 characters and would be proud to call any of them “friend.” I just loved Mr. Cook. He may be old, but he’s God’s prayer warrior, and His people know it. “If Mr. Cook decided to pray for you, you could be sure the Almighty was going to get involved.” My parents’ prayers are like that, and I pray that mine will become as effective... not for fame, but to help others realize the greatness of our God. That is the kind of character Mr. Cook is. To be honest, Leigh struggles with juxtaposing God’s greatness and all-powerfulness with His allowing sin and atrocities to occur. “If God had protected her, that was awesome. But why allow any of it?” This is a great question that many of us have, and it is well-answered. I read this on my kindle. At first, I thought I had smudges on the screen. I finally figured out there were light “fingerprints” between chapters. How perfect. With plenty of suspense, some romance, and a few great twists, Lynn H. Blackburn is a romantic suspense author to add to your must-read pile. I will definitely be back for book two with my wetsuit on. I gratefully received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. This in no way influenced my opinions, freely given, for which I am solely responsible.

Leigh Weston thought she left her terrifying experience behind her when she moved to Carrington, North Carolina, but when her brakes are cut she begins to question if she did. Terror follows her after a body of a wealthy businessman shows up deep in the water outside her lakefront home. Homicide investigator Ryan Parker reaches out to his best friend’s baby sister when a body is discovered not far from her property. Soon after this, Leigh is targeted repeatedly causing Ryan to stick close to her side. Both discover they have strong feelings for each other but don’t want to admit it. Can they solve the mystery before the killer targets Leigh again? And will they finally give in to their feelings? This is the first book I’ve read by Lynn H. Blackburn and I gotta say—I’m hooked! She had me from the first page. The plot and all the twists kept me turning the pages to the very end. That’s a sign of a great author. I fell in love with Leigh and Ryan. These characters will grab a hold of the reader’s heart and won’t let go. The secondary characters are also well written. Great job! The vivid detail and use of sensory had me engulfed in the book like I was there right beside them. I could picture everything. This is the first in the Dive Team Investigations series and I for one can’t wait for book 2! I give Beneath the Surface five stars. It’s one book where you’ll want to dive deep! **Book has been provided courtesy of Baker Publishing Group and Graf-Martin Communications, Inc. in exchange for my honest review.

Likeable Characters and Interesting Scenario Make for A Good Read I love mysteries and suspense novels and that’s what drew me to read Lynn H Blackburn’s newest book Beneath the Surface, the first book in the Dive Team Investigations series. The story begins with homicide investigators, Ryan Parker and Gabe Chavez, training for underwater crime scene investigations when they discover a body. What started out an exercise has now developed into a murder investigation. To help with the logistics, Ryan reaches out to a neighbor and old friend, Leigh Weston, to see if the police can use her dock for a few days. Soon, Leigh has some troubles of her own when she’s driving from home from work and her brakes give out. Was it mechanical failure or something more nefarious? Ryan and Gabe’s case load just got busier as they take a closer look in to Leigh’s accident. What I liked best about this book are the very likable characters. They are people I would like to know, I cared about them and about what happened to them. It’s made all the more interesting as the mystery unfolds with new developments in both cases and unexpected twists. I found the underwater crime scene investigation fascinating and enjoyed trying to figure out “who done it.” Something the character Ryan said in the first chapter, “No one deserves to die forgotten.”, drew me in and I knew I would like this story. I appreciated how Lynn wove the Christian faith into the lives of some of the characters and I hope that aspect of the story continues to be developed in the next book in this series. Lynn’s knows how to tell a good story without resorting to filthy language or sexually explicit scenes. There were times that the story seems to drag a bit as the story unfolded. But it didn’t bother me too much because I liked the characters and interesting storyline. Lynn Blackburn is an author who is new to me and she’s going on my list of authors whose work I want to read. I look forward to reading her earlier and future novels, especially book two of this series. I would like to thank Revell Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read Lynn H Blackburn’s new novel Beneath the Surface in exchange for an honest review. I was under no obligation to give a favorable review.

This is the first book in a new series and the first book I have read by this author and I loved it. I look forward to many more romantic suspense books by this author. I really enjoyed the banter between Leigh and Ryan. This book wouldn’t let me put it down. This had many twists and turns. I received a copy of this book from Revell for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

What it's about: Leigh Weston is back home trying to start over after some horrific events that put her life in danger. What she doesn't know is that new events are starting to take place that are putting her life in danger, even while living in the safest place she knows. Family friend, and best friend to her brother, homicide investigator Ryan Parker, finds himself on Leigh's doorstep after he discovers a body in the lake behind her house. As Leigh's life becomes even more in danger, it is a race to the last minute of discovering who is after her, why and are the missing bodies that are turning up any link to Leigh's past. What I thought: This is the first book in the Dive Team Investigators Series. What a great book by Blackburn. This is the first book I read by her and it was a good suspense thriller. A lot of romance was thrown in there, but the overall story line and plot was a great. The mystery kept twisting throughout and she did a great job keeping the reader wondering who was after the main character and why. Would you like it: If you are an avid reader of suspense thrillers, you will like this one. Fast paced and intriguing, it will keep you flipping the pages up to the end to find out who the murderer is. Revell Books sent me this complimentary copy to review. Opinions expressed are my own.

Wow! What a fantastic book – filled with suspense, excitement, action and romance! But there was also a journey towards God with some really great truths written. “Life is hard… Everyone has tough stuff. There’s no perfect relationship or perfect job or perfect house that will somehow make your life easy. What throws us for a loop is when life is hard in ways we weren’t prepared for. Divorce. Illness. Disability. Money problems. Rebellious kids.” I really enjoyed reading this book – actually, other than quick bathroom breaks, I don’t think I put it down until I was done! Highly recommend!!! I was so fortunate to receive a copy of this book from the publisher. I am freely writing a review - all thoughts and opinions are my own.

BENEATH THE SURFACE is the first book in Ms. Blackburn's new series Dive Team Investigators. I am seriously looking forward to the rest of the books in the series as I have fallen madly in love with one of the secondary characters. Ryan is a dear. He has always loved Leigh but her brother has forbidden him to have anything to do with her -- except watch over her from a distance. But investigating a crime accidentally puts Leigh in danger in ways no one expects. Leigh is a nurse practitioner, kind and considerate. She reminds me of one I know. Very caring. Everyone loves her. Well, mostly. And she knows everyone in town. Or at least it seems that way. So why is someone targeting her--with the intention of murder? Okay, I had a couple guesses, since I know how these things usually work. I figured it had to be Suspect A. Absolutely must be. Then Suspect B came into the limelight. Hmmm. But Suspect B was nice... back to Suspect A. Then I remembered that the "bad guy" could be nice. Back to Suspect B. Oooh, I couldn't figure it out! Ms. Blackburn bucked the formula. That is all I've got to say. And it did keep my attention because I had to find out "who-dun-it" and I didn't want to put the book down. I read after church, reluctantly put it down to attend the evening service then picked it up when I got home. If you like romantic suspense, you will love BENEATH THE SURFACE. I was given a copy free. All opinions are my own.

Beneath the Surface (2018) by Lynn H. Blackburn is the first book in her Dive Team Investigations series. Beneath the Surface released this past March 6th, and can be purchased wherever books are sold. This book comes in all forms including eBook, and is 352 pages in length. With a full-time job and a precocious five-year old at home, this story took me two days to read. I received a review copy of this novel in paperback form from Revell Books. In no way has this influenced my review. The opinions expressed in this review are my own. I give Beneath the Surface 5 STARS. This story is a Christian Romantic Suspense. Whoa! Whoa! WHOA! Beneath the Surface is an edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting page turner. I was hooked from page one, and genuinely could not figure this story out. The writing is flawless, the suspense is INTENSE, and the cast of characters is great. The Investigative Team that we meet in Book 1 — Ryan, Gabe, Anissa, Adam, and Sabrina — is so diverse and unique. This is the book you read late into the night saying, “Just one more chapter. I can do just one more chapter!” Before you know it, it’s midnight and you realize your alarm is going to go off in a few hours. I definitely lost track of time reading this one. The characters in this story have a true relationship with God that is showcased throughout the entire book. It’s illustrative of the honest relationship we all should have with God. God is in this book all over the place: in Ryan’s cop car as he is driving to a crime scene, in the Emergency Department room when Leigh is working on a patient, around the dinner table as Ryan, Leigh, Gabe, Anissa, Adam, and Sabrina break from their work to eat a quick meal, and in the dark, scary moments when things don’t look so good for some of the characters. What I like so much is the example these fictional characters set for the reader. It’s subtle, but honest. The characters each relate to God in different ways, and have their own unique ways of praying, but they all relate to God as He wishes us to — as if He is physically standing next to us waiting to hear our prayers and thoughts. When Adam is frustrated, he yells at God out of frustration. When Leigh is scared, she prays desperate prayers. When Anissa prays before meals, her prayers are strong, sure, and confident as she speaks to her Lord. And, when the characters are confused and need answers, they go to God trusting He will give them the answers they are looking for in His time. At one point, Ryan is scared and frustrated and he starts to doubt, but he stops himself immediately and say, “NO! God’s got this.” And, then he confidently goes back to work. These excellent examples of relating to God throughout this book is my favorite part of this story. Such a great reminder to me to always be relational to God. God doesn’t want robots. He wants us in each and every moment — the sad ones, the frustrated ones, the happy ones, the boring ones! Lynn H. Blackburn is TALENTED! I have a MA in Literature. I can pretty much figure out a story 1/4 to 1/2 way into it. If it’s a TV show, I have those figured out by the first commercial break. It actually drives my husband crazy. I don’t say this to brag, I say this to express just how impressive Lynn’s writing skills are. There are so many twists and turns and trails in this narrative! I kept telling my husband, “I think I know who did it”…and then I was totally wrong. I was wrong the whole time!!! It was AWESOME.

If you enjoy inspirational romantic suspense, you will love this book. From a stalker to someone targeting her, oncology nurse practitioner Leigh Weston has to trust Ryan Parker to keep her safe. But when her attacker finds her at work in the emergency room, where can she go to be safe? Who wants her dead? From the first page, you won't be able to put this one down. Leigh knows God is in control, but Ryan is finding it hard to leave it up to Him. Ryan is investigating a John Doe's body that had been found in the lake. Then Leigh is attacked. Who is behind these attacks and why do they want her dead? I enjoyed watching Ryan grow in his faith and Leigh being strong in hers. For a suspenseful inspirational romance, Beneath the Surface is a must read. I received a free copy in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

This is the first book that I've read by this author and it's a great romantic suspense. The romance overshadowed the suspense at times and I was disappointed with how little of a part the killer had in the story. But, the book is a great clean read. There is also a good bit of faith content for those who look for that in a book. But believing God truly loved her, truly had her best interest at heart even when it didn't look like it? She didn't know if she could muster that kind of faith. The best she could do was whisper a humble "Help me." Somehow she knew that would be enough for now. That he heard her. That he wasn't waiting for her with a long list of grievances. That he was running toward her, longing to hold her close if she'd let him. The characters are what I really loved about this book. I really bonded with them even though Leigh seemed a bit juvenile to me. I liked that Leigh and Ryan had a history so that their attraction didn't feel like insta-love. There was a solid background to draw on for their mutual attraction. And I honestly loved them. I love the entire team. This is the first book that I've read by this author and I was impressed. While the romance got in the way of suspense at times...there were still some really intense moments. I chose to read this book at bedtime and kind of scared myself. I was a bit thirsty but too freaked out to go get myself some water. Either I'm a big scaredy cat or this book had some really great suspense. Overall, I liked this book and I will definitely pick up the rest of the series. In fact, I'll probably check out her other books as well. This book was provided to me by Revell Reads. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. All opinions are my own.

Series debuts with... Beneath the Surface Dive Team Investigations #1 By Lynn H. Blackburn When a training exercise uncovers a murder victim in the lake behind her house Leigh Weston's life is about to take on a dangerous twist. Having returned to her childhood home after dealing with a patient turned stalker, Leigh had hoped for a return to normal. A weekend training exercise in Lake Porter was about as relaxing as Ryan Parker could hope for while being on-call for the weekend. As part of the Carrington County Sheriff's Office dive team, he found this a relaxing way to work. But when the exercise turns into a homicide investigation his weekend and that of the dive team just went jumped to intense and frustrating. The unknown victim has had his identification quite effectively stripped from his person. And due to the location of her home and dock Leigh is asked if the department can make use of it for the duration of their investigation. With Ryan being her brother's best friend and her secret girlhood crush Leigh agrees. All too soon Ryan finds himself dealing with two cases - the unidentified murder victim and the attempted murder of Leigh Weston. Could Leigh's stalker be back? Or is it just a strange coincidence? All too soon it becomes apparent that Leigh is indeed in someone's sights - the question is whose. As the murder investigation takes an unexpected turn, the danger Leigh faces grows. Will they be able to determine who is after Leigh in time to save her life? Or will she too become a victim with unanswered questions left at her death? For those who enjoy books with a steadily growing level of suspense that branches off into different directions give this series debut a consideration. Fans of Lynette Eason, Patricia Bradley, or Terri Blackstone will want to try out Lynn Blackburn's work as she writes in a style that will appeal to these readers. The reader is effectively kept in the dark as to who, where, and why as the story progresses so one's attention is completely engaged throughout. And for those who like a dose of romance mixed in with their suspense - well you will be thrilled to know Beneath the Surface has that as well. A word of warning the murder is rather gruesome and does not make me want to join this investigative team - if I saw it I would probably be very sick and having nightmares for a very long time (Just saying). P.S. the excerpt from the next book in the series promises to be just as intriguing so don't skip it! I was provided a complimentary review copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations of a positive review - all opinions expressed are my own.

I picked up this novel because of the title "Dive Team Investigations Series". I thought that was a great idea for a story. I've been fascinated by forensics and recall reading a magazine that showed pictures of the effects of a body submerged for a day, a week, and a month and how they apply that when solving cases. So I had high hopes for this novel. For a reader that isn't too wild about romance, I seemed to be reading a lot of them lately. This book is no exception. So let's start with the negative... The romance got in the way of the story, in my opinion. It's not that I mind the start of character relationships, but I was under the impression this was going to be a murder mystery. Though there were moments of danger, those seemed to be overshadowed by does he like me or not story. Even some minor characters had the hints of a starting relationship. I felt like my kids whenever they watch a movie with a lot of talking. I just want to skip the dialogue and get to the good stuff! I know, I'm a baby. But I felt like the characters were just repeating the same thing over and over again. Yes, one of them is in danger. Yes, the other has sworn to protect. We get it! It was too much character and not enough investigating for my tastes. Now on to the positive... The parts where there was danger? Excellent! Exciting! Brake line cut, poisoning, kidnapping and more! This has all the makings of a great suspense thriller novel. And the part where the dive team finds the body was really what I was expecting. I wanted more of that. The investigating portions were good, though there seemed to be more theories than actual facts thrown around by the characters. This book is part of a series, so I hope the author focuses more on investigating, like an episode of CSI or something. There's great potential here for an exciting series. And yes, even in CSI, I desperately want to skip the character drama. Readers that enjoy suspense will like this book, but perhaps as long as they know going in that it's more about the characters, they'll be happy. Romance readers will love this book because that seems to be the main focus. Damsel in distress who ends up being more than capable of getting out of a tight situation without any assistance. For healthcare workers, they might like the fact that the main character is an Oncology nurse practitioner. All in all, this is a nice read while on vacation or relaxing on the beach.  I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was in like Flynn in the first chapter of this book. There were so many hooks that all just worked together. Leigh draws you into her heart from the very beginning. Having recently moved back to her childhood home after the passing of both her parents she leaves behind the memory of a stalker and changes her career specialty. She finds herself in contact with her older brother’s best friend, who she may or may not still carry the embers of her teenage crush, and a body found in the lake behind her home. By chapter two, her brakes are cut and the hunt is on. More bodies pile up and more people around Leigh, as well as herself, are hurt. The bigger issue is whether they are all tied together. And if so why? This book was overall very fast paced but not breakneck. I might have stayed up entirely too late because I needed to know the answers. I needed to know if the crimes were related and why and how and and and. . . I needed to know. I needed to know if Ryan ever got over his fear of disappointing his best friend by being in love (since high school!) with the off-limits baby sister. There were a few things I found a little unbelievable such as the spare no expense to protect Leigh and the everyone hold team meetings at a victims house while including the victim. I’m not law enforcement but somehow I feel like that’s taking a stretch for the sake of the story. There was some lull in the middle but never too much to make me lose interest. I’ve never read Lynn H. Blackburn before but I’m on board for just about anything she can put out. Enticing story lines with believable characters made this book for me. Leigh felt a little juvenile at times for me with wanting things her way but then if I stop to think how I’d react in her same situation I’d be dead already. So there’s that. Well, to be fair a lot of the team felt juvenile a time or two. Ryan with his concern over how his bestie would react. His bestie, Leigh’s brother, and his over-protectiveness of his grown 30 year old sister. That didn’t detract for me though. And a bonus for keeping me guessing throughout the ENTIRE BOOK for the bad guy. I had some inklings here and there and even the actual person was on my radar for a bit but I didn’t solve the case until they solved the case. Always a win for me. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by Revell. I was not compensated for this review and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. I was not required to write a positive review.

Romantic suspense just as I like it. This one was a page turner in so many ways. Who was the killer? What did Leigh Weston have to do with it? Who was John Doe? Would Ryan just kiss her already? Yes, the romance kept me turning pages as well. I really enjoyed the way that it continued to simmer throughout the suspense. This is my first book from this author and it will not be my last. Beneath the Surface is book one in Dive Team Investigations series by Lynn H. Blackburn. This romantic suspense is an amazingly entertaining novel. The plot is extremely well crafted with non-stop action and thrills that keep the reader engaged. The opening scene immediately pulls the reader in with a shocking find during a dive team training session led by homicide investigator, Ryan Parker. They discover a body in the lake near the home of nurse practitioner, Leigh Weston, and the plot escalates fast to an attempt on her life and a search for a serial killer. Leigh had moved back to her home in North Carolina to escape memories of her frightening experience with a stalker—an obsessed patient. Now she is drawn into Ryan’s investigation of the horrific crime due to its proximity to her home. Ryan and his team must connect all of the clues to an apparent serial killer to protect the woman that he has secretly loved for years—his best friend’s sister. This is truly a wonderfully satisfying romantic suspense story not to be missed. Book two in this series, In Too Deep, follows this riveting book. The author has also written Hidden Legacy and Covert Justice. I received a copy of this book and requested only to write an honest review.

The author places Leigh Weston on your heart from the very beginning of this story, and soon we are caring about several other people, they seem to have a heart for the Lord, but also for their fellow men. The first half of this book introduced the setting and main characters very effectively. We learned a lot about the past and current situation of the female lead, Leigh Weston, and the male lead, Ryan Parker. There is a lot of action involving these two characters. Leigh Weston is a nurse practitioner at the local hospital and Ryan Parker is an investigator with the county Sheriff's department. Ryan has been Leigh's older brother's best friend for many years. The second half of this book was well-paced and packed with action. I especially liked the team-like rapport the investigators had with each other and Leigh as they worked on solving multiple murders and violent acts targeting Leigh. The many characters representing several agencies bonded by their common concern for Leigh's safety, and I felt the author did an excellent job of showing the progression of these peripheral relationships. I also enjoyed the diversity of the characters the author developed for this series. The final few chapters of the book are filled with the twists and turns that make suspense books so fun to read! I highly recommend this book for fans of clean fiction, romantic suspense, thrillers, medical fiction, and mysteries. The second book in this series, 'In too Deep', will be released in November, 2018. {Note: Some of the forensic evidence and physical violence in this story is gruesome in my opinion. The book is completely clean in language and content.} Disclosure from reviewer: I received a paperback copy of this novel from the publisher in exchange for an honest review to be posted on my blog and on retailer sites and Goodreads. I received no compensation for my review or posts here or on any other site. #########
