Oh my sexy, broken tortured souls, kinky, erotic, steamy, carnal, sensual and beautiful story! I really don't think there are enough words to describe how I feel about this book but I just loved it. Best one of the series so far.  To be honest, I wasn't really sure I was going to like this because I haven't really been feelin Six. Well, Kit Rocha proved me wrong. Six is badass on the outside, tough on the inside with a dash of girlie feels. I freaking love her! She knows that she's a little messed up and broken but shes working on herself and her comfort levels. She's learning to trust because she's only ever relied on herself.  Bren is smart, patient, tough as nails, trained killer who's out for revenge on the one man that betrayed him in Eden. I really like that he doesn't push Six into anything. He waits for her to make the move or give the signal that she's ready for something more, still letting her know that he's there for her if she needs it. He doesn't try to "fix" her but gives her the tools to feel comfortable and take care of herself. He gives her space.  Sex: Yes! Oh my goodness it was very good and by very good I mean I'm putting this in my two finger one handed read category. Bren is a giver and never takes more than Six can handle. Since this is all new to Six, she's trying to discover exactly what she likes and what she doesn't like. Six has to trust and open herself to the O'Kane's and Bren and that's not easy for anyone. My most favorite scene in all the books I've ever read was when Lex, Rachel and Dallas put on a show. Oh ho it was HAWT! It was sexy, sensual, raw and voyertastic. I could put myself in Six's shoes and experience what she was feeling. I would probably react the same way so I could relate to her reactions. This scene started at 44% and went to 52%! UGG! I just loved it!!  A couple of things that I didn't like but not that significant for me to dock any stars... The fall of Russell Miller was anticlimactic and frankly I was a little disappointed. Bren has been waiting for years for this moment. Also, there really wasn't a lot of suspenseful action. This story is mainly about two people healing and finding each other in a very unlikely way.  Overall, I LOVED it! If you like amazing sex, ménage with a dash of f/f and m/m, fantastic healing, romance and love story in a dystopian setting, then this is the series for you. I can NOT wait to read Beyond Jealousy with Rachel, Cruz and Ace!!!

Beyond Pain is the 3rd book in the series by the Kit Rocha girls. I have been looking forward to reading BP since I finished Beyond Control and jeez, the ladies have made it well worth the wait. Donna & Bree have outdone themeselves with Beyond Pain. The story was XXXX HOT and then some..... this book is seriously sexy and hits us with doses of exhibitionism, voyeurism, menage and kink. The Sector 3 story that started in BC continues in BP - we get more of an insight into the wider world of the sectors and we meet new characters that I'm sure will crop up again as the series continues. Dallas & Lex are kept busy with Sector business as things are moving at a pace. Bren has been given the task of starting to look over Sector 3 and this takes Six back to a world she is trying to forget. There's a lot of action and a fair share of violence... BP revolves around Bren & Six and their developing relationship. Six has been used, abused and mentally beaten and is a whole lot broken. Her self worth is non existant and she feels kinda lost in the new world she finds herself in in Sector 4. After all she suffered at the hands of Trent, she doesn't trust anyone anymore - except, it seems - to some degree, Bren. Bren is an awesome character - hard as hell but with Six he is quiet, patient and caring. He does everything he can to get her to fully trust him and to start believing in herself again - never pushing and leaving her to make her own choices. He is kinda broken himself after his own experiences in Eden and we see how his growing relationship with Six affects him throughout the book. As you would expect with a Beyond book, the sex is extremely hot but in BP there isn't the group sexfest we experienced in BC. There are more than a few smokin' hot scenes - with 2 or 3 in particular that curled my toes in the best way possible!!!!! The usual favourites are all featured and at points we are treated to the POV of a few individuals that added an interesting spin on the book & series and gives us a little glimpse into possible stories to come. Beyond Pain for me is a 5* read. I love this series and everything about it!! I cannot wait for Beyond Jealousy - that's gonna be another scorcher of a read!!! ** I was fortunate to receive an ARC from the authors in exchange for an honest review. **

4 stars… Fearless People, New Characters, and Expanded World-building "It didn't make her feel better. It made her feel naked, because the emotion lurking behind his eyes wasn't fear or dislike, it waspity...Trent had picked her for a reason. She'd had a reputation. No one remembered it. They looked at her now and saw a victim, and as long as she had to face that reflected back at her everywhere she turned, it was all she'd ever be. They'd smother what was left of her pride in well-meaning sympathy." Sector Three chewed Six up and spit her out. Six expected more abuse at the hands of the O'Kane gang. Sector Four gives the appearance of power and freedom. Women wearing the O'Kane tattoos are treated with the same respect as the men. It's hands off unless she's willing. Sector Four's sexually permissive way of living draws out uncomfortable emotions from Six. The debasement she experienced at the hands of powerful men and their underlings stripped her of nearly everything. Becoming vulnerable to the one man, whose touch she craves, conflicts with the instincts that kept her alive. Brendan Donnelly, a former Eden killing machine, is the only person she feels any semblance of trust. He soothes her with his undemanding touches and self-discipline. For him, she might let down her guard. With him, she can help her people in Sector Three rebuild. Under Brendan's possessive hands, she might embrace her sexuality again. "Maybe she was too broken to deserve being loved." Beyond Pain offers more world-building and less eroticism. It also digs beneath the armor to reveal one of Dallas's strongest enforcers, Brendan Connelly. First introduced in Beyond Shame, Six's history is revealed, bearing a surprising similarity to another character. Brendan and Six are the first monogamous couple in the series, yet they have their own shameless ways of delivering a fantasy. Although the eroticism is nearly sparse (compared to the previous books), its lack is compensated with added attention to the sectors' inner workings. I had expected Six to undergo the most radical transformation of the two characters, but it was Bren who proved the most fascinating. Perhaps his character's constancy, loyalty, and perceptiveness made his vulnerability such a striking contrast. A disappointment I had with the book was the erotic situations fell short of my expectations. Bren's need for pain and dominance seemed an opportunity to deliver some well-placed erotic situations. Either a reader will feel rewarded with the world-building or those who depend up Kit Rocha's brand of lusty sex will miss the abundance of steamy moments. Six - damaged, nearly feral, and untrusting - was a character I had look forward to finding a happily ever after, but she bore too many similarities to Lex. She seemed an alternate version of Lex, making Six's character seem uninspired, although she managed to get under my skin. Bren's character dug deep. I wish Six had been as affecting. "Beyond Pain" gives an arousing and poignant scene in one of Bren's favorite places. The introduction of new characters, pairing possibilities, and the progression of another couple about to hit situation critical were bonuses. My overall pleasure in reading this book weighs significantly heavier than the weaknesses I perceived as a reader. Even though I received advanced reader copy, I purchased the final copy for a glimpse of the next book, which promises to be another strong delivery. (It also allowed me to use quotes.) "Will you buy me a real bed? "I'll build it with my own two hands if you want." Her head popped up, and she smiled as if he'd offered her the world, gilded and wrapped with a bow. 4.5 STars ~Reviewed by ANN & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog The Beyond series has become one of my most favorite erotic series. It stands out against a sea of smut. The dystopian aspect of the series just adds something that draws the eye and makes it become something “other” and refreshing in the out-played genre. I was anticipating Bren and Six’s book because I thought it would be a nice change of pace. Here you have a hero who doesn’t feel as tortured as the heroine and isn’t trying to immediately fix her by smothering her with attention. Bren gives Six the tools to help her heal but also very much gives her the option to back out if she wishes. BEYOND PAIN is the third book in the series and I would definitely suggest reading this series in order. Not only will you get to experience a delicious amount of sex scenes, but you’ll get a little more of Six’s backstory in the first book of the series. You’ll get a picture of what she has endured and the distance she has to travel in order to see herself in a certain way. Six’s character impressed me multiple times in this story. I wasn’t expecting her to be so tough. I figured she’d be more of a Noelle because of her past. However, she feels like a mixture of both Lex’s character and Noelle’s – that balance of naughty and nice that I think complements Bren’s character so well. Bren also surprised me. He’s so nurturing but not in a smothering way. I loved how much trust and faith he had in Six, especially when she went inside the cage to fight Elvis. Not a lot of men would have allowed that for their woman, but Bren realized how much of a necessity it was for Six to do this for herself. In the rest of the book, readers also get a new additions to the gang and also some greater insight into some side characters. I am especially eager to read Rachel’s story. The lucky girl will have an amazing book, I just know it! Speaking of Rachel….the little lady gets some action in this book. There’s a particular scorching scene involving Dallas, Lex and Rachel and Bren and Six that I think readers will remember and want to reread again and again. I loved getting my dose of Dallas and Lex! Also, my other favorite of the series, Ace gets some playtime as well! As you can see, all these characters have burrowed into my heart and found a place to stay. I adore all the characters in this series and find it hard to choose between so many of the great heroes. Each one is more sexier than the last! It’s a really great thing to have in an erotic series. I felt that this book made some great strides in the worldbuilding department. Dallas is taking over Sector Three and there’s bound to be some resistance along the way. I am loving this side of the story as well. BEYOND PAIN exceeded my expectations and replaced them with dirty thoughts. Never have I wanted to be a character in a story more than I have with this series. I want to be an O’Kane! *ARC provided by author

Sector Four is alive again.  I love this series.  The dystopian world of the different sectors is wonderful.  When you live a life in this type of a world, you learn the things that are really important to you.  In Sector Four, sex, drinking and violence are the main parts of life. In book three, Beyond Pain, we get Bren and Six’s story.  Bren is a former MP from the city who was banished and forced to take the blame for his CO.  He has become a high ranking gang member for O’Kane.  His MP skills have come in handy for Dallas on many occasions.  Six was given over to the O’Kanes from a rival gang over in Sector Three.  In the first book, Dallas finished off the leader of Sector Two. In book two, was charged by the other sector leaders to clean up Sector Three.  Dallas teams Bren and Six up for this clean up.  It is a good pair, because Bren seems to be the only one that Six will let anyone near her.  Plus, with her background in the sector and his former job, they would work good together to start the ball rolling on the clean up. Six has some issues with sex and trust from her past.  Watching Bren help her through those issues is great.  Bren has issues of his own that Six helps him with as well, but they are not as obvious has her issues. This is probably the best erotic romance series that I've read and this book is no different.  I love the world.  The guys are super hot, dominate, caring and badass.  The girls are super hot, dominate, caring and badass.  There is great world building, characters, oh, and let's not forget the sex.  They don't hold back in this series.  The characters are all about having fun, in whatever fun that comes in as long as it's consensual.   If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend it, but start with book one, Beyond Shame.  There are just a lot of backstory that you’ll miss if you start in the middle.  The first two books are just as hot.  You won’t regret it. *ARC provided by the author for honest review.
