About the Author

Joan Spicci holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Loyola University of Chicago, and a master’s degree in secondary mathematics education from DePaul University. She studied Russian language and history with private instructors and at the University of New Mexico. She has edited several anthologies of science fiction and fantasy. She is the owner of JSS Literary Productions and manages the literary estate of her late husband, fantasy and science fiction author Fred Saberhagen. She lives in New Mexico.
