Overview

Big Girl Small by Rachel DeWoskin

Judy Lohden is your above-average sixteen-year-old, with a voice that can shake an auditorium. She should be the star of Darcy Arts Academy, so why is she hiding in a seedy motel room? Perhaps it has something to do with a devastating scandal—-and the fact that Judy is three feet nine inches tall. Big Girl Small is a scathingly funny book about dreams and reality, at once light on its feet and profound.

I read this book a couple years ago, and even though i didnt like it, i still remember it. It had no clear plot and the characters were all unlikable. It was also a very mature book, and i would not recommend it to anyone under 9th grade. I think that the author had a thing againt Judy Garland since she said she was mean to the "munchkins" in the show repetitively. When i looked this up, i found no evidence of that at all. It was a shallow and poorly planned book, and i really wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
