This is a very useful book. Birds are listed by color with color tabs that aid in identification. As a novice at bird identification, this is the best book I have for birds in the west.
I had no idea there were so many birds in New Mexico, but this book is full of gorgeous color photos on one page with the name and description on the facing page. A friend recently moved to New Mexico so I sent this as a housewarming gift and she loves it.
