Liz Flowers has never enjoyed Christmas, but this one is shaping up to be the worst by far. She let her ex take her daughter to Mexico while she stays behind in a strange town, sitting her former mother-in-law's high strung little dog. It's an opportunity to meet new people, but this California girl doesn't have much in common with the ranchers in small town Marietta.

Blake Canon perks up with male interest when he sees a new face at his friend's Christmas cocktail party. His son is away and a light affair would take his mind off his financial troubles. Then he realizes he knows Liz. She was once married to the brother of his ex-wife.

Their children might be cousins, but Blake and Liz do the kissing--under the mistletoe. It's the beginning of a new view of Christmas for Liz, but when their children arrive home unexpectedly, and family secrets are revealed, Liz isn't sure she'll stay in Marietta for Christmas after all.

4 stars I purchased Blame The Mistletoe (Love in Montana #2; A Marietta Christmas #1 ) which contains the novella Taken by the Raider by Dani Collins and this review was given freely. California nail salon owner and single parent Liz attends a Christmas party at the engaged Skye and Chase's house in Montana finally allowing her to experience the family Christmas she had always wanted while also reuniting her with the man who used to be her sister in law's husband, the rancher Blake. This is a steamy and erotic novella with two single parents finding happiness while trying to navigate through uncaring controlling families, being unexpectedly found together by their children, figuring out how to keep the ranch , and showing each other and the children what love and family really means. 5 stars I received a free copy of the short story Taken by the Raider in the Book Blame the Mistletoe by Dani Collins and this review was given freely Ruthless Corporate Raider Griffen buys the company Aubrey is working for in an attempt to bring her back into his ife and his bed. Fast paced and steamy with lots of conflict but a happy ending.

This was a short, quick romance story for adults. Liz and Blake were both once married to "Flowers" a sister and brother, but have both divorced. They both have one child from the marriage and both end up at the same party in Marietta Montana while the Flower family, including their children are gone for a month to a tropical island for a wedding. They have not seen each other in 15 years, but when the meet at the party there is a spark. Of course they end up in bed together and the descriptions of this time together is a bit more than I like, but it was not too bad. When their children come home early and find them together what is going to happen? I really like the characters of Liz and Blake. They were real and were both good parents. They spoke their mind and felt emotions deeply. This was a quick Christmas read that I enjoyed.

This was a very enjoyable Christmas read. Since it’s a novella it didn’t take much time but it was a perfect size book for the story. Liz Flowers meets up with Blake Canon at a friend’s Christmas party. They realized they knew each other since they had married into the same family; they had married brothers and sisters and now both were divorced. They hadn’t seen each other in 15 years. They kiss under the mistletoe and sparks fly. They both fall hard for each other but there are also secrets that might keep them apart. When their children come home and find them together even more questions as to whether they can truly be together. They love each other but is it enough.

I would rather have one solid book than 2 novellas. One is listed as a bonus, both are decent stories though only one has any Christmas in it.

This could have been made better with a little more imagination and a touch of mystery. You knew from the beginning what was going to happen.

Blame The Mistletoe by Dani Collins is a fairly short read. This would be a perfect holiday read for those with limited time for reading. Ms Collins has crafted an entertaining holiday read with amazing characters, suspense, humor and sexy bits. Liz and Blake's story is a wonderful holiday read. I enjoyed Blame The Mistletoe and look forward to reading more from Dani Collins in the future. Blame The Mistletoe is book 2 of the Love In Montana Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete story, not a cliff-hanger.

A cute holiday story about two people finding love where they least expected it. Liz Flowers has gotten stuck at her former mother-in-law's house taking care of her dog while the rest of the family goes to Mexico for Christmas. She meets Blake Canon at a Christmas party and they hit it off really well. Little does she know they were once related through her ex-husband. Liz has never been a big fan of Christmas. Will Blake be able to show her the spirit of the holiday? This was a fun book to read and had some laughable moments thrown in. It is a great book to get ready for the upcoming holidays.
