About the Author

Dr. Andrea Thompson, CEO and cofounder of Parents as Tutors, is an education consultant dedicated to assisting school districts support parents who are desirous of academically assisting their children, but lack the skillsets to do so. She has worked in the K-12 school system for more than 30 years, in roles inclusive of instructional specialist, instructional coach, classroom teacher, teacher mentor, media specialist, and educational consultant. In addition, she is an educational leadership and research methods professor in higher education.
