Blood And Bone The Original Screenplay
This is screenwriter Michael Andrews' original and authorized screenplay for the hit action/martial arts film, BLOOD AND BONE, starring Michael Jai White, Eamonn Walker, Julian Sands, Nona Gaye and Dante Basco.
Every film has to start with its blueprint, the screenplay. It is that original screenplay that first captures the imaginations of filmmakers, inducing them to come on board to finance, produce, direct and act in the film and bring the story, characters and action to life.
BLOOD AND BONE opens with a gritty no-holds-barred prison fight scene with Isaiah Bone (played by the incredible Michael Jai White) proving he is the baddest man behind bars, and not to fooled with.
Months later Bone arrives in Los Angeles where finds a place to live in a rooming house run by the strict Tamara, (Nona Gaye) a foster parent to three young children and the wife of a fallen police officer.
Bone soon becomes immersed in the brutal world of 'no rules' back alley underground fighting where he meets Pinball, (Dante Basco) a small-time street-fight promoter who has never had a winning fighter until he teams with Bone. Bone begins fighting for money, and with Pinball as his promoter, devastates his opponents as he builds his reputation and moves up to bigger paydays. But the real reason why he is fighting is not yet revealed.
Soon Bone meets James, (Eamonn Walker in a tour de force performance), a vicious and deadly underground fight promoter who quickly recognizes that Bone could be his ticket to the big time, but what no one knows, least of all James, is that Bone is on a private mission of his own to avenge a friend and bring James down.
All of this leads to a dangerous confrontation between Bone and James that puts Bone and all of his friends in danger and leads to an inevitable powerful and violent climax.
