Book Two of the Lone Star Cowboys Series and the sequel to Blame it on Texas

Carol and Jake were high school sweethearts, but when she chose college over marriage, it cut Jake to the core. When they finally had a second chance at love, she chose to help her brother win custody of his daughter by moving to Dallas to live with them,
leaving Jake once again. Now she's back, and Jake isn't sure he can give her
another chance to break his heart.

Carol Tanner moves home to Morris Springs, Texas, to be near the ones she loves. And that includes Jake Reilly, though she hasn't decided if she's going to forgive him yet. When Jake is injured and needs help, Carol moves into his house to take care of him, putting her reputation, and her life, in danger.

Jake Reilly is always ready to lend a helping hand to his neighbors, but he finds accepting help a lot harder than giving it. Especially when that help comes from Carol, who had walked out on him twice--once right after high school and again two years ago. He isn't too likely to give her a third chance to break his heart. He has to face his own shortcomings when Carol's life is threatened, because one thing every cowboy knows is that you have to protect what's yours.

A must-read follow up to Blame It On Texas. This romance novel is Jake and Carol's story. Once again the author creates a world the reader can share. You will root for the couple and for the whole community when trouble comes to town. The re-blossoming relationship is beautifully developed. I love these characters. I hate romances where the lovers act stupid; these two do have problems, but the problems make sense. It was great spending time with Megan, Logan, Katie, Jean and Nancy. I look forward to a story each for Jean and Nancy.

Ms. Scott has written another book that grabs you and keeps your interest until you've completed it. The characters are ones we loved from her previous books, Carol and Jake, childhood sweethearts, developed into stories of their own. The book is a great read as part of her series, or simply on its own. You needn't have to have read the previous books to enjoy it. So many twists and turns which all end together smoothly. I highly recommend this and all of Ms. Scott's books.

What a beautifully written story, full of love, suspense and great character's. There is some love making outside of marriage, but it is tastefully done, not the type where you feel your eyes will burn. I like how the author has the character's from book one appear in this one, and not just mentioned here and there, but are apart of the story. There is some trouble, and you don't dare stop reading, because you can't wait to see how it is resolved. My only problem, I don't think it is worth $3.99 for this or the rest of the series. But I didn't deduct and give a lower rating, because the writing is good and the character's are so well written, you will love them and there sweet town. (ljb)

Blue Moon Over Texas (Lone Star Cowboys) Author: Tori Scott Jake is not the kind of man to show his feelings. His father taught him that showing feelings meant showing weakness. But the woman he has wanted since high school, Carol, is always asking what he is feeling and he is always answering wrong. He has asked her to stay in Morris Springs twice and twice she has left. Now she is back and barely speaking to him and he cant even figure out what he did to make her so upset with him. Carol has loved Jake for so long she doesnt remember a time when she didn't, but he can't seem to admit he has feelings for her. True, he had ask her to stay twice but both times she had to leave. First for college and again to help his brother care for his daughter while he gained custody. Why couldn't Jake understand. Now Jake needs her help while he recovers from an injury and he doesn't seem very happy about it. But Carol thinks this could be the chance to make him see that he really does have feelings for her and doesn't want her just to cook and clean and run his house but to love her and truly share his life with her. This is a follow up book to Blame It On Texas, by Tori Scott, and just like the first book, I really enjoyed this one too. The author did a great job of making me feel connected to the characters and care about what was going on in thier lives and their relationship. The book was well written and easy to read and follow. Thanks Tori, for writing us great cowboys to enjoy. 5 of 5 stars complimentary book given for a free review
