The book is about a young boy growing up in South Bronx (NY Yankee territory) as a die hard Boston Red Sox fan from 1946 to 1957. His dad took him to Ireland in 1950 to discover his Irish heritage and what it meant to be Roman Catholic. In 2004, the Boston Red Sox won the World Series after eighty-six years of suffering mostly at the hands of the NY Yankees.
