About the Author

Xiao Jing "Iris" Wang, M.D., is a general gastroenterologist and children's book author. She brings her medical expertise and parenting experience to her prescriptive storytelling, and her clinical focus includes a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, such as constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. Dr. Wang is also a mentor to residents and fellows, and has authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, all while continuing to write delightful stories for young readers. She lives in Rochester, MN.

Rocío Ledesma, also known as Ro, hails from Galicia, northern Spain. In her youth, rainy days nurtured her passion for crafting imaginative realms indoors. Armed with an Advertising degree from Vigo’s University, Ro embarked on an art direction career in advertising. In 2015, she relocated to Barcelona, embracing freelancing as an illustrator. Her digital prowess has adorned commercials, magazines, and global clients' picture and educational books. Ro's heart lies in illustrating children’s books, allowing her to conjure lively characters, vibrant hues, and adept interpretations. Off work, Ro enjoys biking and indulging in copious coffee.
