About the Author

David Keller is an Adjunct Professor of Ascetical Theology at The General Theological Seminary in New York and Director of the Contemplative Ministry Project. He is the author of Oasis of Wisdom: The Worlds of the Desert Mothers and Fathers (2005), Come and See: The Transformation of Personal Prayer (2009), and Desert Banquet: A Year Of Wisdom From The Desert Mothers And Fathers (2011).
David G. R. Keller is an Episcopal priest and adjunct professor of Ascetical Theology at the General Theological Seminary in New York City. He is Director of the Contemplative Ministry Project, which he founded with Fr. Thomas Keating, OCSO. David is the author of Oasis of Wisdom: The Worlds of the Desert Fathers and Mothers, Come and See: The Transformation of Personal Prayer, and Desert Banquet: A Year of Wisdom from the Desert Mothers and Fathers.
Kallistos Ware is an English bishop within the Eastern Orthodox Church under the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and one of the best-known contemporary Eastern Orthodox theologians. From 1982 he has held the Titular Bishopric of Diokleia.
