Bouquets and Brickbats

It seems that everyone on the planet is at all times trying to get somewhere or trying to get something and without exception these efforts result in bouquets for some and brickbats for others. This reward or punishment consequence is illustrated in a collection of stories in which villains are generally punished and victors are generally rewarded, but not always.
