Brave Birds: Inspiration on the Wing based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
Maude White’s gorgeous new offering proves a deep trove of inspiration & winged solace. Her words match the calm vibrancy of her papercuts & serve to soothe, balm-like, with their beautiful company. I read the book hungrily in one long sitting, but will go back to it again & again as it offers equal measure of wisdom, the sweet voice of a loved one, & the message we can only get from the wild. While giddily immersing myself in the magic held within the lovely nearly square pages of Brave Birds, it’s message of bravery in ways both large & small formed a wide welcome stripe through the warp of the text. And being a wordsmith myself, smitten with the ways in which well hewn words can subtly cheer & inform, I could not help but think of the connection etymologically between the words courage & heart.
