Lara Adrian's New York Times and #1 international bestselling Midnight Breed vampire romance series continues with Break the Day, an adrenaline-laced, passionate new novel of paranormal adventure.

After a shocking betrayal nearly killed him and the people he cares about the most, what Breed warrior Rafe wants more than anything is revenge against the insidious brotherhood called Opus Nostrum. But to achieve that goal, he must turn his back on the Order and infiltrate a dangerous gang with ties to Opus. Risking everything to redeem himself and carry out his deep-cover mission, Rafe will let nothing stand in his way--least of all his desire for one of the loyalists he should despise, a mysterious, dark-haired beauty named Devony Winters.

But Devony has secrets of her own to protect, as well as a personal duty she will do anything to fulfill. And as a daywalker passing herself off as human to the gang she's been embedded with for months, the last thing she needs is a dangerous former member of the Order unraveling all her hard work. Her plans depend on keeping Rafe at arm's length, but if she surrenders to the dark need he stirs within her, it will be her heart that pays the ultimate price.

If you like intrigue, romance, action then this book is for you. It has it all and more. My only complaint is that there were way to many sexual encounters in this book compared to the others. Pages of it. The story felt a little incomplete while you were reading. I felt it needed more background about Devony. Telling her story, not the brief version given. Don't get the wrong impression, this a good read. Enjoy.

Let me start with Wow!! What an engaging, fabulous read. Rafe is such a great character and Devony was definitely a woman who could stand toe to toe with a breed. Break the Day is a well delivered, well written story continuing the Breeds mission to bring down the Opus and I can wait to get my hands on more. If you haven’t read this series you are seriously missing out on an amazing collection of books.

Break the Day by Lara Adrian is the latest book in the Midnight Breed series and it definitely doesn't disappoint. After being betrayed, nearly killed and having the lives of the people he loves the most threatened, Rafe wants nothing more than to hunt down and seek revenge against Opus Norstrum. In doing so he must leave the Order and infiltrate a dangerous gang that is working for Opus, but what he doesn't expect to find is someone who wants revenge just as much as he does and someone he is starting to have feelings for. Devony Winters had been working undercover for months trying to find out who was responsible for her family's death and why, but now having a former member of the Order show up was going to make it difficult to continue with her plans and to keep her secrets safe. What she doesn't plan on are the feelings she has for Rafe. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books in this wonderful series. I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

Wow!! Break the day has been one of the best reads this year. We finally get Rafe’s book. If you have been following this series you’ll know he is the son of Tess and Dante from book 2, Kiss of Crimson.. Rafe is on a path to redeem himself and right past wrongs. Undercovers he meets Devony, whom is on the same mission to bring down Opus. Together sparks fly! I adore Rafe and Devony’s story. Their chemistry is explosive. I love Devony’s sass and Rafe reminds me of his father (swoon)! Lara Adrian is a brilliant author who has found a way to keep a long running series exciting and new. Her books will always be one click purchases for me.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. After Rafe's bad luck with women or rather a woman he throws himself into his work. Devony is trying to escape her grief when she meets and instantly distances herself from Rafe. The two agree to work together to bring down Opus Nostrum, the insidious terrorist group that bamboozled Rafe and murdered Devony's family. I love Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series. My favorite book is Kiss of Crimson, where Rafe's parents meet, fall in love and battle Rogue vampires. I put off starting Break the Day thinking that this book couldn't compare to his parents' story and I was wrong. I couldn't put the book down and as one device's battery died, I would pick up on another to keep on reading. This was another fantastic book in a terrific series.

Rafe is undercover, trying to find any information he can that will help him to bring down Opus Nostrum. After infiltrating a gang with ties to Opus Nostrum, he meets Devony, a Daywalker. She is on her own mission and has her own reasons for wanting to bring them down as well. Break the Day is the 16th book in the Midnight Breed series. Rafe and Devony's story is full of excitement and romance. Another winner by Ms. Adrian. I love this series and I'm already looking forward to the next installment. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Returning to the Breed world was so very rewarding. Perfect pairing of Devony and Rafe. Exciting and hot, hot, HOT. Great to include some of the previous Order members. I've read every book in this series and throughly enjoyed each one. Eagerly waiting for the next installment. If this is a new author for you...I highly recommend that you start with book one. She's sooo very talented and you will not be disapointed.

Lara takes us right back into the amazing Breed Warriors life and brings us another amazing story of triumph, love and loyalty to family and friends. I won't spoil it so you have to read this and the rest of her breed series. I promise you will be so glad you did and you are in for a deliciously spicy and hot romance we all would crave with everyone

I love this series but this book fell short. The main characters were indistingushible from any other romance story. No personalities. Bland. Nothing like the previous books in the series and very predictable.

Another brilliant, engaging story in this ongoing series. I must confess when I started it I had forgotten what Rafe had gone through in the previous book. Didn't take long for the memories to surface and this definitely isn't a standalone. You really need to start at the beginning to understand the relationships and how this world works. This story arc has been going now for quite a few books and I really like that the story is unfolding at a good steady pace. I like that each story really centres around the main couple and their developing relationship more than the bigger picture. They entwine really well and make for a much more satisfying story. I sometimes get frustrated when a story moves too slow but this definitely isn't the case and it's so much better for it. Rafe feels like he has a lot to make up for and it's the driving force behind his every move. He hasn't done anything wrong but it's a conclusion he has to find on his own. Devony is on her own troubled path and they intersect perfectly. Both have the same goal and soon come to realise that it's easier to achieve with each other's help. Their perfectly matched and I loved how their story unfolded. She's as badass as he is which I absolutely adore in a Breedmate. It's full of action and adventure, powerful emotions and passionate chemistry. I read it in a day as couldn't put it down once I started. I'm loving this world and the kickass characters in it. I highly recommend this series for the vampire lovers out there.

Breed warrior Rafe Malebranche (son of Dante and Tess) seeks revenge and retribution against the enemy known as Opus Nostrum after a betrayal nearly cost him those he cares most about. He goes deep under cover to infiltrate a gang with ties to Opus and seemingly turning his back on his best friends. Determined, powerful and willing to do what it takes to bring Opus down, Rafe is a consummate and worthy hero. Beautiful, strong and determined, Devony Winters, a daywalker passing as a human, has worked hard to embed herself with the gang, and is seeking vengeance herself. When these two meet, more than sparks fly. Their attraction is explosive and the heat leaps off the page. Opus is a villain you’ll love to hate, far-reaching, despicable and treacherous. For me Lara Adrian is synonymous with fast-paced, emotionally charged stories. Action- packed suspense, intrigue mixed with passion and lots of heat! Intense with hallmark twists and turns you don’t see coming. After so many books, she manages to keep everything fresh and new and this book is no different. It pulls you in and won’t let go leaving you yearning for more!

Rafe is determined to show the Order he can be trusted and to put an end of Opus Nostrum. Meeting Devony Winters put a spin on things and Rafe is afraid to trust after his last mission. Devony has her own secrets as well. Wow I couldn't put this book down and can't wait for the next one!!!

Another amazing read by Lara Adrian. The non-stop excitement in this book made it impossible to put it down once I picked it up. Rafe has defiantly met his match in Devony.
