About the Author

Ruth Ann Nordin has written seventy romances, ranging from Regencies to historical westerns to contemporaries. She plays with other genres from time to time, but her first love is romance. She has been happily married for eighteen years to a sweet and funny guy, and they have four sons, who are all taller than Ruth now that they're 12, 13, 14, and 16. The good thing is she doesn't need a ladder, and there's always someone to take care of a mouse that squeezes its way into her Montana home. She considers herself very lucky to have led such a charmed life. Being able to play with characters and create stories is just icing on the cake. Hopefully, she'll get to keep doing this many years to come.

Beautiful... and possibly the best one yet. Forewarning future readers, it is a little more important in this book to read the series in order or quite a bit will be lost to you.

Ruth Ann Nordin hits all the notes. She is a 'comfortable' companion.

I love love love this author. I have read every one of her historical romance novels except for the ones that were just released and I can guarantee I will be reading the rest shortly. Ms. Nordin's characters are all different but likable. They are never perfect, but human. This novel tells the story of Eliza's son (Loving Eliza - also an excellent read!) that she gave up for adoption. It starts out telling how he suddenly lost his bride of less than a year, and then found love unexpectedly with her sister. It is told tenderly and with compassion. It talks of the heartache of both of them and how time helps them heal and find love with each other.

Get the box of tissues out for this one ladies! Its one of her best novels. I love the series with Eliza! But it also ties in the Larson family for a small bit as well and I love it when the characters all meet up at one point or another.  This book started off sad and you feel so badly for Jane and how her brother and sister in law treat her. Her Brother in-law swoops in to save her and winds up slowly falling for her. You see his struggle to feel like he isn't being disloyal to Rebecca. This whole book was so well written and well wrapped up. it made me sad to think it might be over. Def one of my all time favorites!!

Really 4.5 stars. Ruth Ann Nordin puts a fresh spin on the Marriage-of-Convenience theme. Recommend the entire series. Good writer, my only problem is the anachronisms--like using the phrases "guilt trip" and "rip off" in the 19th century! Nonetheless these are highly readable and heartwarming old-fashioned romances. The bookworm's equivalent of comfort food. Yum!

This was a wonderfull conclusion to this 3 book series! I would definatly read the previous two first although its not necessary. I will be looking for more from this author. I love historical romances and she keeps any sexual scenes between married couples and does so with taste. I really hate it when i get into a romance and it ends up turning more into a erotic romance instead!

Who will save Jane?..................................................................................................................................................... Well that would be a slightly reluctant Jeremy. Apparently stealing Janes inheritance and having her slave away for his family is not quite enough for her brother. Now he's marrying her off to some repulsive local for a few more dollars. Fortunately her deceased sisters husband gets wind of this and steps up to the plate and rescues her by offering to marry her himself. This could have been just another "I'll never love anyone but my first wife stories " but the interesting character growth and plot twists are first rate.
