Cost $5 and was too much torture at the beginning. It was really slow to get started. I loved the first 4 books, but this one was rushed in the end and not as good as the others.

Wow! What an amazing book... I was hooked from the very first page and it was pretty impossible to put the book down. I loved the angst and anticipation and the build up throughout the story, not once did I feel like anything was predictable. Great, great story!! Hats off to Heather for another amazing story.

Let's just say I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! This series kept me on the edge of my seat. It was hard to put down, because I just wanted to keep turning the page for more. I laughed, cried, held my breathe and felt happy throughout this series. Thank you Heather for writing books that I love! Looking forward to reading more from this author!

Broken Blood (Dirty Blood #5) by Heather Hildenbrand Tara Godfrey is being held captive by Gordon Steppe who is trying to use her blood to form a werewolf army.   Broken Blood, the last book in the Dirty Blood series, was full of action and unexpected surprises. My heart went out to poor Tara.  The things the girl had to go through are crazy.  Most people would not have the strength to endure her path. Gordon was really messing with her head – literally.  I love that the story is told from Tara’s perspective.  It makes you feel really connected to her.  She showed tremendous growth throughout this series. Tara’s great-uncle, Astor De’Luca cracks me up.  He reminds me of Myrnin from Rachel Caine’s Morganville Vampires.  I’m pretty sure it’s the whole mad scientist/bunny slipper thing. Gordon Steppe is the poster child for evil mastermind.  He definitely has lying and manipulation down.  We learn an interesting Steppe family secrete in this book that becomes crucial to the story. There was a ton of stuff going on in the plot that made the novel difficult to put down.  The story was well-written and the perfect length and pace.  Heather Hildenbrand did a fantastic job with all the details that went into this series.  The story has a solid ending that I enjoyed. I always find it sad when a series I like ends.  It does make it easier knowing that there will be a spin off series featuring Sam coming out in 2016. I have received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Before I will start my venting… Breathe, Ewelina, just breathe... No no no! I can’t believe it’s already last book in this amazing series! I was dragging reading it till the last minute, because I knew that after that it will be over! Ugh, I feel like crying! I know (and I will) I can re-read the whole series, but it’s not the same as reading it first time and being always on edge, because that’s how it is with Heather’s books. I was always on edge and my heart was beating fast as there is so much action! Love it! In this part we have constant action, drama, love, friendship…everything! And that’s what makes it the best book in the whole series! I love all of them, but this one? Was like WOW! This part picks up straight where previous book left us, in suspense, wondering what happened next. Tara is locked in a cage, wondering what happened to everyone else. And for me she is simply tortured while being held captive. I was Team Wes *swoon* from the beginning. I like Alex, but for me he needs someone less hotheaded (like Ang? <– hint here Ms Hildenbrand). He never doubts his feeling toward Tara and always wants to be wherever she is. She is his HOME. And I find that adorable. The side characters were brilliant as always. Cambria made me laugh and I just love her. She is an amazing friend! But what I love the most? How Tara is growing and becoming stronger and more responsible. I love the fact that she is not afraid to admit that her decisions are bad. She is still hotheaded, but she fights. All the twist are mostly explained and resolved, so I am generally happy with the ending, but I wouldn’t mind, like at all, more books with other characters *smirk* I feel honoured that I was able to review the whole series, it was an amazing and so enjoyable! I am sure that soon I will re-read the series again! 5 FAT, HUGE STARS! Well done, Heather!

This final book in the Dirty Blood series picks up right where the last one ended. The action was non-stop from beginning to end. You will be on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what's going to happen next. The characters were quirky as usual and I love Cambria. She's so unique. Of course, Wesley is my book boyfriend here. He's just so darn perfect. His love for Tara is unwavering. As for some of the plot twists, I was disappointed about the situation that caused her to love her memory. It just seemed like such a sad way for things to happen. I liked how the problems were resolved and it was a satisfying end to the series. The last part with Tara and Wesley was a little frustrating since she has some business to finish. It would have been better if she could have ended the way Cambria did. I don't want to give many spoilers, but overall, readers will be satisfied with the ending to this awesome series. This installment gets four stars for a great resolution to the story we've all loved so much.

I was given a complimentary copy by author Heather Hildenbrand for an honest review. This is book 5 of The Dirty Blood series by the author. Having been taken prisoner Tara is coming to realize her staying sane is the only way out of things as Steppe tries to get into her head more. Traitors are showing themselves more since they think they will win. The character of Tara has been through a lot and you have to feel sorry for her until she finally sows the strength to survive. The interaction of the characters was great. this is for any paranormal romance book reader who enjoys a great series. This is book 5 and it is best to read the books in order to get it all.
