I am sad to see this book, which I read many years ago, is so difficult to obtain. I rate it among the best of Forester's works. The main action occurs when Able Seaman Brown, a prisoner on a German cruiser in WWI, escapes when the damaged ship finds haven in a remote atoll to conduct repairs.
