Buddies Against Bullies is a heartwarming story about a group of elementary
cousins that become increasingly distressed about the bullying that occurs
privately among their fellow students. Th e cousins are sympathetic to their
bullied peers and become determined to make a diff erence by helping the
children that are being bullied. Th e children brainstorm and decide to start
a club called Buddies Against Bullies.
Th is book is an important tool for parents, grandparents, guardians, and
educators to obtain a glimpse into a child's mind about the child's experiences
and perceptions. In the back of the book, a question section is provided for
each chapter. When a child answers the questions, their response provides
valuable information about their experiences and perspectives.
Bullying continues to occur in epidemic proportions and unfortunately
bullying behaviors develop as early as the grade school level. Th is book is the
brainchild of my grandchildren ages fi ve through twelve who encouraged
its writing and participated in its contents.
