Alpha Burke Chastain has his rules, and his rules were law. All must obey them for the safety of the pack family and their friends. His men respect and love him, but he has no tenderness in his life. Having a mate of his own was something he knew was never meant to be.
Dane Quinn is from the hidden plane of Tuath. He has escaped from the breeder stable where men were enslaved for the sole purpose of providing heirs to the highest bidder. He aches to find his true match and have a family with the man that he hoped to love.
With the guidance of the goddess Lanaya, Burke helps save the men of Tuath. He is drawn to Dane--the man who is destined to be his mate. He must put aside his alpha ways and understand that all rules are negotiable, or he will risk losing the man who will bring kindness, love, and cubs into his life.

My experience with each of Lyssa's books is just wonderful. I love each and everyone that she writes. And this is a wonderful new opening to a new series that I can't wait to get the next book to. I live for each and everyone of Lyssa's books to come out. Each one you read you get a full round storyline and you feel as if you are there with the characters living out the story with them. Brava to the series and keep them coming. Your favorite fan from Iowa.
AMAZING/BRILLIANT/STUNNING/EMOTIONAL TURMOIL/ I've been a mad stalker fan of Lyssa Samuals since I picked up her first books. So when I heard that she had a new series coming out, I was so happy. I loved how this story started with a little back story of what our reticently freed men of Tuath are getting into. All told by the Alpha Burke and Lanaya the goddess who has helped Burke's pack. How we find out it's not just wolf shifters we are dealing with. And even though things are going well for everyone now, these men, in there own right, have had a very hard time as well. So when the portal opens and everyone bands together to help the injured and scared you can really feel the bonding of not just friendships but of life long partnerships and love. Because this is book one in a new series, you've a lot of players but Lyssa does an amazing job keeping everyone organized so you, the reader, aren't confused about who is who and where they are supposed to be at any given time. As we learn, develop and grow, couples pair off, which teases us for future books instead of bogging us down with everyone story in this one book. I really enjoyed how Dane, even though a breeder and by ever right should be beaten down and woe-is-me. Is the complete opposite, he's an equal and wants to be treated as such. As do many of the other breeders. So watching Burke and Dane figure out each other in the mating dance was wonderful to read. The extra world building we have in this one is amazing the details of the villages, the tools, the way they are going to start coexisting. The extra details of the breeders from Tuath, that makes them so special. Until disaster strikes and makes them all realize that evil is not far away. But in true Lyssa Samuals fashion we are given a wonderful epilogue, that gives Dane and Burke a HEA at last.
