Magdalena Armstrong nació en Santiago, en 1986. Estudió Teatro e hizo un postítulo en ilustración en la Universidad Finis Terrae. Como ilustradora ha sido destacada con importantes galardones como el premio A la orilla del viento y Amster-Coré a la ilustración editorial, otorgado por el Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes.
