Overview

Chris Lewis is taking a hike on his last day of vacation in the Rocky Mountains when he stumbles upon a small, red, electronic device. Although it's buried among some newspapers from the 1940s, the mysterious object possesses technology that is years ahead of Earth's. He sets out to discover who left it and why.

Tag is the propulsion engineer on the first trip to visit another civilized planet. He and the rest of the crew trained hard to prepare for all contingencies but the one they encounter. Now, stranded on a strange planet with no way to contact home, they push to complete their mission.

Chris pries out the secrets of the device and Tag's journey to Earth. With the help of his family, he learns the device is called a cadat and they can use it to help Tag complete his mission, and maybe get him home.
