Overview

California Connection 2 by Chunichi, Delilah Devlin

Jewel used to be content with being a ride or die chick, playing Bonnie while the men in her life played Clyde. But now she realizes that it was her connections and street smarts that helped her man, Calico, rise to the top, and Jewel wants to be the one in control. She's tired of taking orders from men.

She's willing to do anything to be queen of the streets, but when a deal she makes with the enemy comes back to haunt her, her dream is turned into a nightmare. Hopeless and struggling to keep her head above water, Jewel meets Misty, who seems to be her savior. They quickly form a bond, but when that bond is broken and the mist turns to rain, Jewel finds herself in the middle of a storm that she might not make it out of.

Does Miss Jewel ever catch a break? I wish she will just be smarter about who her friends really are and hopes she learns her lesson. There are still some unanswered questions in the story that I would like to know. Hopefully in California Connection 3 ill get the answers I'm looking for. Overall it is an Ok book.

I read the first book(california connection) this book was not very well written .This book was not what I had expected. I waited almost 2 years for the sequal 2 this book and once I completed this book as I said prior I was very disappointed. The story goes really fast, htere was no depth to it.It read like a story that I was being told verbally.I am a very big fan of Chunichi. This is one of the authors rushed writings

Once I started reading this book, I just couldn't put it down! It starts off great & grabs your attention quickly. There were many twists & turns as in part 1. It kept me at the edge of my seat. I don't want to give up anything so I will just say that I was really surprise at who died and how drastically the characters changed. Sometimes, it was almost as if they were different people. If it weren't for part 1, I wouldn't have really felt like I had a connection with them. Reading part 1 first is a must! I would highly recommend this book. It's funny, adventurous & will make you sad, angry and sympathetic all at once. The ending is a real shocker too! Looks like there is going to be a part 2 in the making. I really hope so too...the way it ended definitely has to have a sequel. I loved part one even more, but part 2 is definitely a page turner. This one was even more grimey! Overall, I loved the book & I would recommend it!

This was a quick read. I thought this book was good and very interesting. I think the first book was better, but this was a pretty good sequel. I'm looking forward to reading the third installment of the series.

Both part 1 & 2 was good. I wish part 2 was a little longer. Once you start reading it is very hard to put down. Hopefully there will be a part 3. I recomend this highly.
