This book presents a comprehensive look into the study of calmodulin and the many signaling molecules that it regulates. It effectively and eloquently discusses past findings and current investigations which have contributed to our current thoughts on calcium signal transduction and how it is mediated through calmodulin-regulated pathways. "The purpose is to provide the audience with a number of studies and research designs that reflect the current thinking regarding cell regulation through calmodulin and the regulatory pathways it regulates. With this in mind, the editors succeed in effectively presenting a body of experimentation critical to the current understanding of calmodulin-regulated signaling. "It appears that the text is written for the research investigator who has an interest in calcium and/or calmodulin-regulated cellular events, as well as the graduate student who may be training in this or a related field. The editors have demonstrated their authority with pioneering work and an extensive record of publications of utmost quality.
