Can't Get Next To You by Niobia Bryant

BUSINESS TAKES A BACKSEAT. . .WHEN LOVE IS ON THE LINE

Gabrielle "Gabby" Dutton is in love with her boss, but he doesn't have a clue. Although she lives in his guest house, Max has kept their relationship strictly professional and platonic, choosing to entertain a parade of gorgeous model types that gabby feels she could never compete with instead. So When Max hires Penelope Tillman, a beautiful business manager who makes it clear that she's looking to marry him, Gabby decides it's time to pursue the man who's stolen her heart.

Maxwell Bennett never viewed his reliable assistant in a romantic light, but when Gabby returns from her trip to Georgia --after getting a sexy makeover to top all makeovers, he's taken aback by the breathtaking beauty she's hidden under bulky clothing and awkward glasses. They surrender to their desire for each other--until Penelope, sensing competition, spreads a nasty rumor that causes Gabby to flee. Now with his heart and his business in disarray, Max needs to find Gabby and convince her that she's been promoted from secretary to soulmate.

This book has you holding on to your seat, and heart the entire time.I was so taken by the love that Gabby had for Maxwell, the more I read, the more I wanted to know about these characters.I still find myself going right back to this book and wishing that there were men like Max out there.I was completely taken away when she came back from her vacation in Georgia and the reation Max had. This is the #1 seller if I must say so myself!Great Job!!!

This is the first novel I've read by Niobia Bryant, and it was definitely sweet! I was caught up from the first page and couldn't stop reading until I was finished. I thoroughly enjoyed the romance between Gabby and Max. I liked the fact that they were friends first! And that it almost took him losing her to to realize just how much he loved her and how long he had actually been in love with her. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from Niobia Bryant.

Max's & Gabby's story held me captive from the very 1st chapter. Sometimes you do have to leave someone for them to realize you love them and can't live without them. Gabby's sister April was a true trip. I don't think she was looking for love, but a really good time. I like how Gabby was comfortable with Max the 1st time they were together. I am looking forward to her next book.

I was walking through the book store looking for a good read and this book caught my eye; and i'm glad it did. I was drawn in from beginning to end. I actually felt what the characters were feeling, and Miss Addie was something else. An enjoyable read!

This was an excellent book. The story was great. I liked how all the characters in the book came together and you felt like you were in the book. You can relate to the story. I liked Addie's character she was funny and straight to the point. I loved how Gabrielle and Maxwell came to find out that they loved one another. Even though they went through some ups and downs they finally found love. It was an excellent book.
