The day my father agreed to testify against Terrence Randall, one of the most ruthless drug traffickers in North America, was the day I became the target of the drug lord's enraged vengeance. I was the one thing that stood in the way of Daddy's testimony, and the one thing that could save Randall. The man would stop at nothing to get his hands on me.

I was prepared for what was coming -- as prepared as one could be when vanishing into the U.S. Marshal's Witness Protection Program.

I just wasn't prepared for him.

For ex-Navy SEAL turned mercenary Lake Freeman, escorting Lily Cross into the Witness Protection Program was just another job -- until a better offer came along. Lake couldn't have cared less about the life he'd been hired to protect. After all, she was a part of the very organization that had cost him so much already.

At least he never expected to care.

But when forced into a decision he never thought he'd have to make, the mission became one of survival for himself and his beautiful charge. Lake knew that in order to protect her, he'd need to bring the feisty and unpredictable Lily to heel -- he couldn't keep her safe if he couldn't keep her under control.

But that protective urge quickly turned into something else, something dark ... and his need to conquer, to claim, overrode all else.

He would keep her safe. He would keep her protected. But he would make her his, as well.

Now, all he had to do was figure out how to keep them both alive long enough to do it...

About the Author

Natasha Knight is the author of several BDSM and spanking erotic romances all of which explore the mind of the Dominant male and the submissive female, discovering just beneath the surface of each story that key element of love. Her characters are as human as she: powerful and vulnerable, flawed, perhaps damaged but with an incredible capacity to love.

Trent Evans is an independent author of BDSM erotic romance and erotica. Putting pen to paper since he was a wee lad, he decided to try to share some of the tales cooked up in his fevered imagination. Some readers might not be horrified at what he writes. He tries to write stories that appeal to both women and men (wow, threading the needle), but will follow wherever the story takes him.

A long-time resident of the Pacific Northwest, the author believes that the high percentage of authors in the region (compared to the nation as a whole) is chiefly due to the fact that it's so damned wet and miserable all the time there. They tend to use their long hours cooped up inside spinning yarns that depict things they'll never see or experience -- such as sunshine.

Emmanuel J Cross was a drug dealer to the wealthy and the father of Lily. Emmanuel was half of the two men force that supplied the entire East coast with their drug of choice. Emmanuel made a deal with the the Feds to testify against Randall his business partner. Emmanuel was to enter into the witness protection program Lily was to leave NYC and she only had fifteen minutes to pack one suitcase. If she didn’t go Randall would come after her to get her father Emmanuel to stop all deals and take the prison time but to keep his mouth shut. Then a man came into Lily’s room, he was Lake Freeman and explained her father had hired him to be lily’s body guard until they got Lily settled and safe. Velveteen Rabbit had been Lily’s favorite book as a kid and was now her safe code and Lake brought the code up to her to let her know her father did hire him. Lily’s mother had run off before Lily was a year off so Lily and her dad were close even with his profession choice. No one had ever scared Lily like Lake freeman. Lake had zero compassion and treated Lily like she was the criminal. Then there was the trade off to U S Marshall De Salvo Witsee. But he was a fake as now the cartel would have Lily. There was a time when Lake would have never thought of doing a job like this but that time was gone. One last job and he was free. One last mission and he was done with what he had become. Lake escapes with LILY as he wants her for himself. They hole up in a cabin in the woods to hide from the drug cartel who want to hold Lily as a captive. Lake is a dominant man trying to teach Lily to be a sub. But Lily is not used to being told what to do. I liked this story but had a lot mixed feelings about it. Lake didn’t turn Lily over to the cartel but he kept her captive for herself. To try to force someone to be submissive would be near to impossible and if you broke their spirit isn’t that what attracted Lake in the first place ? story was just confusing to me. There really wasn’t a lot of danger or suspense or so it seemed to me and there should have been more as far as i am concerned. I did like that the BDSM relationship was thrown around a lot like most stories. I liked that it was not hard to figure out what the relationship was. But I definitely didn’t like the forced sex part. I did not enjoy that. So all and all was a okay read that I did finish so it did hold my interest enough for that. I liked Lily’s fiestyness even when it cost her. Also a BDSM relationship is based on trust especially as far as the sub goes and Lily was afraid of Lake and didn’t trust him so… But I did like a lot of the ins and outs of this story.

I have to agree with the people who said they couldnt finish this. Sooo boring and nothing pulled me into the story. Upset that i paid 4.99 for a 183 page book that was boring.

(Well she does a couple times.) And that's hard to find. Pretty gut clenching. If I could tell my friends that I read this genre, I'd recommend it.

I cannot believe I wasted time reading this book.  Then I questioned my intelligence by actually finishing it.  It was a book about rape, not BDSM and there was NOTHING romantic about it.  I will never read this author again.

Publisher's Warning: Intended for mature readers. 18 and over only! This is a MF BDSM romantic suspense. Themes include: graphic sexuality, pervasive D/s, exhibitionism, spanking, bondage and other BDSM activities. If such content might offend you, please do not purchase this book. That just made me want to read it!! Well, if a dark and kinky romantic suspense with plenty of floggings, sensory deprivation, bondage and very, VERY dubious consent is a problem for you, look away now. If like me, THIS TOTALLY FLOATS YOUR BOAT, then I think you would rather enjoy the SMUTFEST that is Captive Mine. This book is seriously HOT and I mean SMOKIN HOT. I hardly knew what to do with myself the whole time I was reading it – the erotic scenes are done so, SO well. This is one to set fire to your Kindle! As the blurb states, Lily Cross is daughter to an infamous drug dealer turned informer and is being taken to safety by the witness protection programme……… or so she thinks. After some pretty shifty double crossing, she and Lake Freeman (who honestly sounds like a geographical location not a hero but it's OK because we only call him Lake or Freeman or Sir!) hole up in the cabin in the woods to hide from the drug cartel who want to take Lily captive to keep her father from testifying. Lake literally cannot keep his hands off Lily ……. or his leather strap or his handcuffs! He decides that this feisty princess needs to be brought to heel for her own safety. Pretty flimsy logic but hey – what the heck! As a plot device, it opens up some highly erotic and incredibly arousing scenes that I know a lot you are going to love. Mmmmmm!! Lake has a ‘good girl’s room’ and a ‘bad girl’s room’ and I think you can guess where Lily spends most of the book! After inspecting her intimately ‘in case she’s wearing a wire’, Lily has absolutely nothing left to hide from Lake and he embarks on a dazzling display of domination to ensure that Lily is now a ‘good girl’ and does as she’s told. For her own safety, you understand! While this has a romantic suspense plot, it really is just background to the BDSM story of one man trying to claim his sub. It does help to lend a kind of ‘pressure cooker’ environment to the story and add to Lily’s fear as you always feel that this kinky little interlude is about to be cut short by the bad guys at any second. The book isn’t that long and I do think that, if this had been a full length novel, the romantic suspense plot would probably have been better fleshed out – it didn’t have quite the drama that I expected. But it’s all about the sex really – this is definitely a piece of erotic and highly kinky romance that is probably THE most arousing thing I’ve read in 2015. I’ve read Natasha Knight before and I sincerely believe that she’s an underrated author and deserves more attention than she’s getting. She’s all about the spankings and erotic punishment and she combines them seamlessly with strong character development and great emotional depth and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ready by this author so far. Trent Evans is a new to me author but a quick look at his back catalogue shows me he’s an established erotic BDSM romance author. They work well together and it’s hard to see where Natasha leaves off and Trent begins although I suspect but don’t know that Lily’s POV is written by Natasha, while Trent provides that of Lake. If I have any niggles with the book it’s that the suspense plot doesn’t quite achieve the dramatic conclusion I’d been expecting all along and there’s a whole lot of sex here (nothing wrong with that!) and it’s all bareback and neither one of them considers contraception and I just needed one small reference here. It’s an omission that always bothers me. BUT – despite all of that, this is one highly kinky, deeply arousing piece of erotic suspense that I can recommend to anyone who enjoys this kind of darker romance. If dubious consent, captivity, power play, floggings, blindfolds, back door loving and multiple O’s turn you on – then you NEED to read this book. I promise you, the heat is OFF THE CHARTS and it does exactly what it sets out to do! 4 uncomfortably turned on stars

what a wild ride. Highly recommend this great, though rough, story. If you don't like nonconsent then you better not read; however, you would be missing a most intense story with a.......well, just read it and you'll know.
