About the Author

DR. YVETTE ANTOINETTE JACKSON
Paying all Praise and Honor to God our Father, Dr. Jackson is a child of the King. In June of 2022, Dr. Jackson received an Honorary Doctor Degree in Evangelism and in 2017 an Honorary Doctor Degree of Divinity in Ministry from the Bible Believers Christian College and Seminary, Inc.
Dr. Jackson received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2002 and is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the State of California, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (Parole).
Dr. Jackson worked in various hospitals in the Emergency Room throughout Southern California, i.e., California Hospital, Centinela Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital interviewing, assessing, and referring patients who have been admitted to or are in an emergency status at the hospital inclusive of recommending alternative levels of care, coordination of various disciplines to ensure continuity of care, inclusive of but not limited to psychiatric transfer coordination, discharge planning and ensuring all hospital protocols are
followed. Units covered include Trauma, Neonatal, Emergency Room, Intensive Care, Med/Surg., Telemetry, etc. to ensure that the patient is referred to social services programs and/or resources available to assist them in functioning on an acceptable level while in the hospital and/or upon discharge or transfer.
In June 2005, Dr. Jackson founded TLC Medical Social Worker Agency, Incorporated, where she was Chief Executive Officer and Medical Social Worker. The agency began contracting with various home health and hospice agencies throughout Southern California and shifted to incorporate the In-Home Counseling Project.
Personally, Dr. Jackson was a caregiver for nine years for her mother who succumbed to Alzheimer’s Disease in July of 2003. Duties consisted of ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for her mother who was bed bound, requiring total 24-hour home care and supervision of all caregivers. This life experience made Dr. Jackson aware of all appropriate resources to ensure the safety and wellbeing of others.
Dr. Jackson has three (3) sons whom she loves dearly and have contributed to this book of memoirs with their own personal rendition of “Caregiver Chronicles” as Jr. Caregivers. They were also caregivers as children during this nine (9) year journey and have shared their testimony.
