Son muchos los jóvenes que dudan y se hacen preguntas acerca de la fe cristiana, expresada a menudo con un lenguaje complejo. Y no son pocos los padres y educadores a los que les resulta difícil explicar esa fe de manera cercana e inteligible. Por ello, José Sols y Julia Argemí escriben esta carta dirigida a su hija Inés, joven universitaria, en la que intentan explicarle el sentido de la fe religiosa en general y de su fe cristiana en particular.
