About the Author

When asked ‘when do you have time to write’, Amy Gregory simply laughs.  The real answer is, “in bits and pieces”.  She and her husband live in Kansas City with their three fantastic kids that keep them running in three very different directions.  Because she sits so much, she always carries a notebook with her at all times.

She has an off the wall, snarky, off the cuff sense of humor that often shocks even those who’ve known her for years.  And she loves that her children have all been blessed that ability to make others laugh as well.  At least she’s grateful most of the time!  Her husband often teases her about how she “makes this stuff up” when he’s reading a piece of her work. … The answer—“it just comes to me when I’m typing”. Scary thought, huh!

I got a third of the way in and got so tired of the immature nauseating conversation that I put it down. The scenes drag out and the guy is saying "I love you" two days after he meets her. I like a little more build up and plot line and a lot less cheesy. Save your money.

Fun, light, romantic, and short. These adjectives sum up the book pretty well. When I began the book, I was not too keen, but by the end, Any Gregory halfway won me over. The characters were fine, and about halfway through the book, Molly kind of won me over. I rather liked Carter from the beginning. Their interactions were rather engaging to read. This does have profanity and some bedroom scenes. I will admit that I could have done without either of them, but they did not harm the book overall. I have no interest in racing or motorcycles, so this portion of the book was somewhat lost on me. And Brody seemed a little over the top to me. The defining moment in this book was when Molly opened up to Carter. As she told her story, I began to feel compassion for the character. I wish that Ms. Gregory had made me feel compassion earlier, but since this is a debut novel, it is possible that she is still defining her writing style. Adding the hint of unexpected mystery also intrigued me. Maybe it was a little far-fetched, but then again, perhaps in light of today's society, it was not. The strength of this book is its brevity. I say that because it is just long enough to keep your attention. If it had been any longer, I do believe that I would have lost interest. In fact, I began to lose a little bit of focus right towards the end, but I persevered to the end. In conclusion, this book is a perfect book for the end of the summer romantic. Pick it up in the morning, read for a couple of hours, and you will get your romance fix. Perhaps it was not my particular cup of tea, but that is just my opinion. It does not keep me from seeing the value in it. I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100 percent mine, and I was not financially compensated.

Racing To Love~ Carter's Treasure is just that, a treasure! Amy Gregory's debut novel seamlessly weaves her love and knowledge of motocross with a sweet love story to melt your heart. Carter hasn't found the right girl to understand his lifestyle or his need to ride. Molly understands the need to ride, but she hasn't been interested in finding a man; in fact she has secrets to keep and a brother who helps her keep them. Molly's first stop on her new tour puts her on a familiar track and face-to-face with something not on her radar, the right man. When Carter sees Molly for the first time he comes face-to-face with something not on his radar, love. Before Molly knows what's hit her Carter has his hand in her hair and a firm grip on her heart. Before Carter knows what's hit him Molly has him wound around her little finger and willing to do anything to take her pain away. Carter and Molly's story is a whirlwind of firsts and Amy expertly introduces you to the other characters and their personalities without distracting you from the real reason you are turning the pages faster than the bikes racing around the track! Don't look away because the end brings a surprise twist you aren't expecting and a smile to your heart. With the turn of the last page I was awfully glad I would get a chance to read the next book in the Racing To Love series just to get a glimpse of Carter and Molly again. Amy Gregory and Racing To Love~ Carter's Treasure get the coveted red number one plate!
