After attending her baby sister's destination wedding, Shelby Worthington decides she's ready to do some husband hunting of her own. The only problem? She's still insanely attracted to Declan Enright, her high school and college crush. He's now a wildly successful painter who's temporarily back in Magnolia Bay, but Declan should be Shelby's last choice for possible husband material. He didn't earn the reputation of runaway groom for nothing...

Declan has worked hard to make his mark on the New York art scene and has succeeded at everything he's ever done...except love. But Declan has come back to the Bay to change that and care for his dying father, even if he's still never forgiven Declan for leaving the family business. Shelby is determined to steer clear, but while her lips keep saying no, her heart is pounding out yes each time she and Declan are together. While she can't deny her attraction, Shelby's convinced that Declan's track record means he will break her heart. Or has Declan changed for good, and made love worth the risk?

Enjoyed this one a lot! Loved the twist on the runaway bride theme. Shelby Worthington always knew she wanted to stay in Magnolia Bay and she's built herself a nice little life. There's only one thing missing. Her one and only crush Declan Enright left right after college graduation for NYC to make it big in the art world. But he's back now but he seems to have a bit of a commitment problem. Maybe he's not the best one to take a chance with!

A few of my favorite quotes: 1) But like any addiction, after the twenty-second pair, the drug wasn’t nearly as potent, the chocolate tasted just so-so, and she was left with the heartbreaking truth that she wanted Declan Enright more than anything, but she couldn’t have him. Or, more precisely, Miss Tall Sexy and Gorgeous had him, and there was no way, Shelby could compete with her. 2) “She’s not my fiancée; she’s not the woman I want.” He reached for her hand and pulled her into him. And then everything stopped. Her heart. Her breath. Time. “You said you wanted a husband and kids and a picket fence. The Historical Society would have a cow, but I’ll give you a goddamn picket fence if that’s what you want. I’ll give you anything if you’ll trust me with your heart.” 3) “I’ve never been in love before, Shelby. God, I don’t even know if I’m doing this right, but you’re it for me. You’re my last and my first. My forever.” Received an ARC for an honest and fair review.

Many serious, deep issues brought up in this novella, making it easy to relate to, and lifelike. Declan had come back home, to keep an eye on his ill father. His childhood hadn't been happy, the relationship with his father was not close, but he still cared and did his duty as a son, never giving in to his father' ornery behavior. Declan also had run away from the altar three times, and making everyone, including himself, question his ability to love and commit. Shelby has had a crush on Declan as long as they had known each other. She's taking care of her sister, who left her husband during their honeymoon, because of fertility issues, and is now living with her. The sisters have lost their parents at a young age, and all the issues in their lives recently made them grieve for them anew. It is an interesting, and a sweet story. I liked how the relationship between Declan and his father, developed, and what role Shelby played in it. I wish there would have more about the interaction between people, especially between Declan and Shelby. Because even though they had been friends a long time ago, time had passed, and they needed to get to know each other better. I felt like the story was just starting, when it already ended. I really would have loved to see more, got deeper into the story, cause there was so much potential for an amazing tale here ~ Three Spoons

Shelby is one of the Six Chicks in Magnolia Bay, and she owns a small shop. Declan is a guy from her past, they had been friends, but he didn't want to be tied down to any one or any place. He made it big as an artist, and they happened to run into each other again when Shelby was on her way home from a wedding. That chance encounter stirred up old feelings. This was a fun story. I really enjoyed going back to Magnolia Bay again. The characters there are so lively. This was a feel-good romance. Granted, not everything went smoothly, but it was a nice fun story.

Be prepared. This story is full of hormones! I really liked this story. It has given me another new author. Kim is good at bringing out the best in her people. It takes a bit but they come around. There are several story lines at work here. You get just a touch of some of them. I hope that means more stories to come. Shelbyville wants to be married and have a house and husband. She meets up with Declan, a friend from college. He is now a very famous artist. He doesn't want to hurt her but can't stay away. She knows she should ignore him because he will leave and break her heart. In this misnamed is Will, Declan' s Dad, who is an old curmudgeon. Then there is Chelsea, Shelby' s sister who got married, has been told she can't have children and now her husband leaves her. Spoilers! This is a short story' Everything goes smoothly and then........! I hope you decide to read this book. Watch for those slippery twists and turns. Enjoy! I have this book for an honest review for NetGalley.

Caught Up In You is an engaging, fast paced read in a great setting.  I love the small town and the ocean.  Kim's descriptions made me feel like I was part of this place. Shelby's home is Magnolia Bay.  She is happy with her life and has no plans for forever with anyone.  There is one man she's never really gotten over though... Declan is back in Magnolia Bay temporarily because his father is not well.  Declan can't settle, and has never been fully committed to anyone.  He's known Shelby for years, even if they had lost touch, and there is a definite chemical attraction between them when they meet up again.  They both want very different things, but spending time together brings them closer than either of them imagined.  Shelby just might be the woman Declan will commit to, but will Shelby take the chance? I liked both of these characters, but found Shelby more difficult to know and understand.  Declan found his way into my heart, especially after all he's been through with his father.  He still loves him, has uprooted his life for him, and wants to be there for him.  This is not an easy journey and I really liked how Kim made the family dynamics such an important part of the main plot, the relationship between Declan and Shelby.  Kim brought her characters to life with their rocky journey and made them believable.  I liked the dual POV and that Shelby and Declan have a distant history - it made their quick romance one I could believe happened. I liked the secondary characters, they added a lot of dimension to Caught Up In You.  Especially Declan's Dad and Shelby's sister Chelsea.  I do hope to hear more of Chelsea's story in the future! Learning to trust, following your heart, and opening up to second chances is a strong theme in Caught Up In You.  Well paced and easy to read, I'd recommend Caught Up In You to any romance reader!

I love reading stories form Magnolia Bay. Shelby's little sister just married and now she is ready for her HEA. Declan has returned to Magnolia Bay, Shelby had a crush on him in college. Declan though is not husband material, he better known as the Runaway Groom, in fact three failed engagements. As sparks begin to fly, will Shelby be his last. Loved ex fiance, Denise, such spunk! Bella the cat, showed such sass. Loved Shelby's addiction with shoes and chocolate, how can you go wrong with that. We all need friends like the Slick Chicks. This book has it all, love for your family and friends. Highly recommend this book for a quick afternoon read. I received this book from Net galley for an honest review.

Would risk your heart for a second chance with an old crush? Nicknamed the runaway groom, Declan Enright has left three women at the alter. Now he's back in Magnolia Bay to keep an eye on his sick father and Shelby Worthington can't keep her mind off him. Years ago, he had been her crush, her kryptonite. After her sister’s wedding, Shelby has marriage on her mind. Declan is the last man she should want, especially with his reputation of breaking hearts. But she still can’t help thinking of Declan and wanting to spend more time with him. Could he change his wild ways to settle down with her? Declan has his hands full with his stubborn father who still insists on going out in his shrimp boat even after the doctor told him he can't go out alone. How will he stop his father’s reckless behavior? Declan is surrounded by women from his past in his small home town which makes it difficult to start a new relationship. Will he be able to convince Shelby he is a changed man? I enjoyed everything about his sweet story.
