About the Author

Beth Ehemann is the author of the Cranberry Inn series. When she's not sitting in front of her computer writing or on Pinterest, she loves reading, photography, martinis, and all things Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks. She lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her husband and four children.

Joe Arden's narration has been described as "sensual," "sexy," and "hot." His recordings range from sweet and romantic to steamy and raw. In his spare time, Joe raises and trains rescue pitbulls and restores vintage motorcycles.

Maxine Mitchell is passionate about animals, traveling, coffee, a good bottle of wine, and great stories. Raised an Army brat, she had a mobile childhood (affording her the opportunity to meet people from many different backgrounds) that she would not trade for anything. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

I've been a fan of this authors work since Room For You came out and I've enjoyed every book since. Cement Heart is no exception. The emotions and feelings that Viper experiences are so well written that you cant help but go through the same ceelings with him. This is a story of friendship, pain, healing and ultimaltely love. If you are familiar with the other books by this author then the heroine and how this story plays out just might surprise you. I know it dd me and I was so glad for it. Can't give more than 5 stars here, but I definitely would if I could!

I 100% loved this book. It was absolutely not what I was expecting...it was so much better. I was crying and completely enamored throughout the entire story. No way was I putting it down until the end. I was intrigued by Viper in the other books but this was so much more. I adore his relationship with Gam and the push and pull with Michelle the entire time. It took me a while to figure out how I felt about his new relationship but in the end they had me hooked. I definitely am looking forward to more of the group. I am now torn as to which of the men has a bigger part of my heart..Brody or Viper. Who knows maybe Andy when his story is out there for all of us.

This book was a long awaited read for me so I couldn't wait to get a chance to be a part of of this tour to share this book with y'all. I want to start off by saying that everything I thought to expect from this book... that was a fraction of what I received when I closed the book.  I'm going to keep this review spoiler free as usual so have no worries there and feel free to continue reading.  Having read Ehemann's other books we have gotten small glimpses at Viper. None of these could have prepared me for getting to know Viper Lawrence. Getting to know him was like encountering an iceberg... there is so much more waiting just below the surface.  As Viper deals with the guilt he feels, he is challenged to look at the man he is and ask himself if that man is someone he is happy with. Well this turns out to be a simple question with a lot of heavy answers. This story feels like a true journey and I was so happy to be on that trip watching as layers were stripped away bit by bit until I felt like both crying and laughing. Even as Viper comes to grips with his emotions, his humor was a constant, something that I adored because Viper never really changes the root of who he is, he just takes on a new perspective.  Dealing with friendships, love, and self maturation, I read this book in one sitting, unable to stop turning the page because I had so many thoughts of what was going to happen. Then when the path was made more evident, I had to see how it all was going to happen. Cement Heart felt somewhat different than reading the Cranberry Inn books, but in no way was that a disappointment. I really thought this was a fantastic story with so much more that I wish I could tell you about but... NO SPOILERS.  :)

This book! It caused so many feels to take over my mind, my heart and my soul. It has been a long time since a book has emotionally wrecked me like this one did. I love books like this. Emotionally draining and in the end my broken heart was put back together and was overflowing with happiness. I cannot begin to express how wonderful and truly beautiful this story is. You need to read it for yourself to experience the emotions that Beth’s writing evokes.  I was so excited to see Viper get his own book. I slowly fell in love with him in the Cranberry Inn Series. I had no idea where his story would lead, and this was nowhere close to what I would’ve envisioned. It was ten times better. I fell so hard for Viper. I cried so much for him and Michelle that I look like I had an allergic reaction to a bee sting or some sh**. Again, I love books that can put me in a panic. One that I hold my breath while reading. One that I curse the author for making me feel this way. And one that I sing their praises at the end for making me feel this way.  I am not going to go into details about the story. That’s not my job. I think you can grasp from my review that I loved this story. A whole hell of a lot. So read it. Grab the tissues, and a glass of wine and be prepared for the emotional roller coaster ride of your life. I promise you that you’ll feel all kinds of wonderful emotions and fall in love as much as I have. Bravo, Beth!

Heart wrenching and heartwarming. Viper will make you laugh, surprise you, rip your heart out, and make you fall completely in love with him. She did it. Beth Ehemann blew me away, again! I never in a million years would have imagined that Viper could make me cry, much less multiple times. I knew he would make me laugh, I knew he would be a good time, however, I did not expect to cry or fall completely in love with him. When I read Beth’s first book Room for You, I had no expectations. Obviously since it was her first book, I’d never read anything of hers before. I read it on a whim because it called to me. Zero expectations. And she blew me away. I fell in love with Brody and Kacie. Even going into her next two books, though I now had expectations, I didn’t really have doubts because it was the same story and characters that I loved. And she delivered. But Viper was different. Sure, Viper is a character that I got to know in the Cranberry Inn series, but this is his story. This is a different voice, a different path, different characters, and a different story to tell. I was nervous because now I had expectations. And now that I’ve read it? There was not a single reason I should have been nervous. Like I’ve already mentioned, Cement Heart broke my non-cement one. I cried and ached for these characters in a way that completely caught me off guard. I cheered for them to heal but didn’t know how they would. But as this book reminds you, even in the face of great tragedy, life goes on. I loved watching Viper grow, even while staying true to his wild, wicked, foul-mouthed ways. Even when he learns some of life’s most important lessons and “grows up”, he doesn’t lose who he truly is. And that person is a total sweetheart and great guy once you break through his tough exterior. I cannot recommend this book highly enough! I read it in pretty much an entire sitting – a couple of chapters last night before I passed out cold, and the rest today – and I’m equal parts happy and mad at myself. I’m happy because it was a gorgeous story that I loved from the first page, and mad because I didn’t make myself savor it. Now it’s over and I don’t know what to do with myself. When does Beth’s next book come out?!
