I most heartily disagree with the reviewer who labelled Melody stuck-up and self-centered. Melody is a caring woman who sees the hurt behind Will's controlled demeanor and she looks for ways to help him. Will's boss brings townfolk and employees together for an orienteering contest and makes free spirited Melody and driven Will a team. For Will obeying the rules and winning is everything. There's no time for relaxation or fun in this competition. Melody teases him to enjoy the journey and surprises him with her knowledge. Will and Melody are very likable characters and it was fun to see them work through their huge differences. Merry has written an incredibly fantastic story and all without the common scourge of overdone foul language. Sparingly used makes it more powerful. I am looking forward to more about these sweet nerds.

Will is wound so tight and regimented due to his controlling father, that he has lost all emotion or pleasure in life. When effervescently sexy Melody keeps bumping into him around town, his control starts to fray. Being paired up in an ecoadventure orienteering challenge is just what they both need to move out of their comfort zones and become better. I loved both these guys and enjoyed watching them grow individually and as a couple. They each had their quirks and flaws that made them more realisticly complex characters. Her family was so over the top I was rolling with laughter.

This woman is a bully hiding behind a facade of sweetness and light or she is just too stupid to know what boundaries are and should be observed. Everything is not a joke. She had no regard for Will and continued to push her own agenda. This is the second book in the series with an idiot female who thinks she knows what's best, wants to change a man to fit her desires, and doesn't seem to care if he gets hurt. If all of the author's female characters are similar, I am not interested in completing this series. Author waited to long in both books to turn the females into likeable characters.

Too many books, too little time. Quit, midway through - couldn't even finish the current chapter. Female lead awful. Too self centered, too "entitled", too immature, too pushy, too rude, too obnoxious. I did not want her to end up with the male lead, at all. He could, and deserved, to do so much better. I read the first book in the series, and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this female character ruined any future interest, in reading others. Again, too many books and good authors, to waste time on unlikeable characters.
