About the Author

William J. McLeod is the founding partner of McLeod Law Offices, PC in Boston. Mr. McLeod is a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Boston Bar Association and is a past co-chair of the Consumer Committee and current co-chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is a member of ABI, for which he has authored articles for the ABI Journal and the ABI Consumer Committee Newsletter. He is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts, and is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts. He maintains a blog on bankruptcy and related issues at his Web site, www.mcleodlawoffices.com, and was a contributing author to Chapter 3.2, “The 10 Biggest Legal Mistakes Physicians Make Dealing with Bankruptcy Counsel,” and Chapter 3.3, “The 10 Biggest Legal Mistakes Physicians Make Before and During the Bankruptcy Process,” in The Biggest Legal Mistakes Physicians Make and How to Avoid Them (SEAK Inc., 2005).
